In order to go to a stage 2 conversion on an 05 LCR 225bhp, is this all that is required:

1) Remap (Revo etc)
2) Uprated DV (i.e. Baily etc)
3) Bar 4 Fuel Pressure Regulator thingy....rather than it being a bar 3....what they called again lol

Is this all that is required to take you near 300BHP??

overall cost around £900 including VAT but could be cheaper...

Many Thanks Guys and Girls...

Ross

erm no.

265 sounds about right for that lot.

to go stage 2 you also need:

uprated exhaust/cat including downpipe.
(downpipe and cat being resriction) on LCR

induction kit, or improve the feed to the stock airbox and put in a new filter.
front mount intercooler would also be recommended.

however, this still wont get you to 300bhp. this will probably get you to 275 all going well.
stage 2 will hold boost higher up the rev range, have a more useable throttle and easier to get the power down as its more progressive lower down the rev range.

the K04 is pretty much known for not being capable of 300bhp unless serious amounts of work are done elsewhere.

Dont LCR's already have the 4 bar FPR?

You also need uprated exhaust and down pipe for stg 2

Also a FMIC is best for wanting nearer 300bhp.

I dont thing its actually possible to get 300bhp out of a K04 Turbo anyway is it?

Oh and i have a pipercross viper kit on it and miltec exhaust yet when i put it on the rollers it was 226bhp.....

umm 1bhp for the filter and exhaust...was expecting more near 5bhp...

Don't worry, Ross. Your induction + exhaust may well have offered you up to 5Bhp gains. Remember the LCR's 225 is PS, not BHP. AFAIK they're actually 222BHP. Meaning your 226BHP dyno result shows 4BHP gains with the induction and exhaust.

Not a chance you will get anywhere near 300bhp.

People think because the jump from 210/225 to 265bhp from a remap the tuning is easy. In this 1st stage it is yes:)

Stage 1...

Remap £550
DV £100

Total £650.....Stage 1

To go to FULL stage 2 spec you need......

FMIC.... £700 (optional but realistically needed to go to FULL spec stage 2)
Full Exhaust.....£700
Induction.....£200
Hoses.......£200
4 Bar FPR (revo only) £50
Fitting charges for above £300ish
Upgrade to stage 2 remap from a stage 1 map £150

Total £2300....Stage 2

From standard it costs approx £3000 all in for a proper stage 2 set up

The difference you'll see power wise from stage 1 to stage 2 is about 10bhp. Yes 10bhp from a full exhaust/induction/FMIC and hoses

You gain the big whack from the remap, you gain hardly anything from the rest of the setup peak power wise. through the rev range there will be quite an increase but peak power wise 10bhp.

Stage 2 LCR on standard K04 275bhp, and 280bhp at a very hard push.

Standard K04 will not flow any more than 280bhp, any rolling road that tells you so is exaggerating:blink:

I have to say. I find it difficult to believe a Cupra R, with just a remap can get anywhere near 270. 255 would be a lot more reasonable.
I was searching the JKM website, and only 1 Cupra R, has made over 260 and that had a few mods.
I ran 234. 270 seems a ridiculous figure to be honest.

Can someone please PM me a RR graph of just a remap which made 270.

Just because yours can't make it doesn't mean they can't! ;)

Of course it depends greatly on the dyno its ran on! But stage 1 cars normally get between 250 & 265 on accurate dynos! Anything above that then the dyno is very kind!

Could be that you have a boost leak or some other problems as your torque is very low for a chipped car!!

LOL 14bhp from a remap...id want my money back
most of that was probably the forge tip and filter!
does it even feel any faster?

270 is abit optimistic but 250-260 certainly aint
