Please excuse my ignorance, but are most of the remaps contructed beforehand and just a straight download onto the car, or custom?

the generic stage 1 map is the same on each car. so just downloaded.

stage 2 or custom is tweaked taking into account your extra mods.

Even though they aren't required it's probably worth getting the uprated divertor valve, turbo inlet hose and air filter for a stage 1 as they are pretty cheap overall.

iv got stage 2,and my mate has a stage 1 LCR. to be honest we were side by side really, very little difference between our cars which was surprising...im pulling ahead VERY slightly...

stage 1 is JUST the remap alone.
stage 2 is including induction kit, dumpvalve, silicon TIP (as original TIP is prone to collapsing with more boost strain), as well preferably a full exhaust system including downpipe.you do not strictly need a front mount intercooler, it does help though.

I have a LC at CC stage 1 plus a lot of mods but i have no FMIC so would i still be okay with a Stage 2?? Or will i need a FMIC for them to do the map?

You don't need a FMIC, but it helps if you drive it hard for long periods of time i.e. track days.
I would say you need a bigger downpipe (can't see one on your list of mods) to complete your exhaust as the OEM ones are quite small.

So stage 2 upgrade costs rough pricing (I used some old data but it's ball park) on an LCR  here are 3 interesting options..........

Overall cost is circa £2k

Option1 - Stage 2 - Overall 270 ish bhp
Revo Stage 1 (+ Stage 2 upgrade) - Approx £636 inc VAT
Milltek exhaust with 100 cell race catalyst & DP or / and maybe FMIC - Approx £1200 inc VAT
Forge DV 007P - Approx £80 inc VAT
Dynatwist induction kit (with air intake hose located in nearside wing above intercooler) - Approx £180 inc VAT
Forge TIP - About £100 inc VAT

What else could £2k get you apart from 2 weeks in Barbados ;)

Option 2 - Stage 1+ Overall 260ish bhp
Revo Stage 1 - Approx £580 inc VAT
Coilovers (good quality not crap) £700 inc VAT
ARB's £350 inc VAT & Del
Fitting £250 approx
Forge DV 007P - Approx £80 inc VAT

Option 3 - Stage 1++ Overall 260ish bhp
Revo Stage 1 - Approx £580 inc VAT
Quaife ATB - fitted £1200 (approx)
Forge DV 007P - Approx £80 inc VAT
Rear ARB fitted say £250 in VAT

Any of the three solutions is en-route to Big turbo so each is just as valid in that context.
On the road though I'd bet the second 2 are faster in the real world

I'm thinking about getting a Stage 1 Remap, do you need a Forge DV 007P or not before or after the remap?

Running more boost can expose existing weak points, mine died shortly after getting remapped.........some last for a lifetime......it's a lottery

The DV is a known weak point remapped or not, the OEM DV is a piece of cheap black Bosch plastic.....needs replacng with a nice aluminium Forge item

Stage 2 remap

Hi, I have revo stage 1 with bmc cai, milltek turbo back amongst other mods, today went to get stage 2 thinking I had all the bits to be told I need an uprated downpipe and f.m.i, the fella spoke to revo c.s and they confirmed this. Gutted, well the missus is anyway.

cost

Forgot to mention it cost £55 to go from stage 1 up to stage 2, you only pay the differance between the packages.

Hi i have the milltek sports cat which has 3" downpipe doesnt it??

what would you expect to get out of a stage 3 lcr with a hybrid turbo? Do you need the 440cc injectors?

A hybrid turbo can be run off of REVO stage 2. A very well set up one with all the supporting mods should see 300BHP. This would include a freer flowing exhaust manifold and intake manifold. Add WMI to this and it would be good for 320BHP, I think.

well mines got an equal length manifold, full miltek, and the hyrbrid along with the induction kit and that.
its quick now on the stage 2 but i've been told the difference between the stage 2 and 3 is much greater than 1 to 2 so i really want to go ahead with it

The LCR's go so so well with a stage 2, it makes me want to go out and buy one!
John in our workshop (CupraMVR) has one which has a pipewerx downpipe and de-cat, with a milltek cat-back system, FMIC etc etc and APR stage 2, it is absolutley BALISTIC!

There was mention about Milltek only doing cats and not a downpipe, this is true ........ for the moment! :cheeky: We are currently in the development stages with Milltek for a full system including a full downpipe and cat assembly - so watch this space [B)]
