Hi all just a quick question to all of those that have a stage two remap and a standard clutch. What power are you running (approx) and how is your standard clutch doing? Is it coping or is a stage 2 remap a clutch killer?

Regards, Edd

i went stage 1 revo

260bhp - 282 torque

killed my clutch within 3/4 months.

I think this really depends on how you drive, I have had my car up to 330lb/ft and the standard clutch has held out(touch wood), i had it up to 393lb/ft while remapping temporarily and it did smell pretty bad. I would say this clutch can handle 320-330lb/ft, again though thats bendy rod territory and if you are launching hard all the time you will burn it out even will less amounts of torque.

Around 280bhp and 307 lb/ft was recorded on my recently stage 2 LCR. Clutch felt fine, but currently got big boost leaks so not even driving the car.

If it goes I won't be surprised, but I'm certainly not ragging it of the lights or from many standing starts, as I know this is when it is most likely to be damaged from the torque.

Hmm. I'm considering a k04 upgrade but my clutch is on it's last legs. Think it may be the DMF. Think I'll have to go for an uprated one. I want to do the odd track day and drag runs.
