Standard LCR Dipstick

Has anyone attempted to sort that gastly looking Orange dip stick tube and the handle of the stick? Iv been looking at it today - cant work out if it screws or pulls off... Iv had a good butchers for past posts but nothin on removing it. Help appretiated.

i just painted mine, bit of satin black, ive got to do the tube yet,

had a problem with mine its starting to break up so im keen to replace it with a solid metal one so wheres the best place to get one . if a bit of the plastic fell would it be faital

I'm guessing you mean the dipstick itself? If so then it certainly wouldnt be ideal and if it were me I would be snapping it off in the meantime to prevent it falling off
