hi,
i've been looking into buying a cupra or cupra R, just want your advice if i should buy a standard or modified example even though i have plans to modify standard one anyways.

if so can anyone set up some price ranges i.e

60k miles - 210bhp - £4000
60k miles - 156bhp - 3300

etc etc thanks

Does sound cheap for a rare R. Id be very cautios unless the guy does not have a clue about the rarity of the car. Or he knows what he has and is masking a problem it has. Go and see it with a mate thats clued up or if your clued up on VAG cars. Try and take VAG com and scan for fault codes too.

Im the same Jonny

Mine has DV, lowered 40mm, Filter and exhaust. I didn't want to buy one that had been mapped. That was my main aim.

Decided on mine because it had ~63K and is a late 02 model.

All I have done since is add Toyo Proxy 4's, Anthercite wheels and blacked the inside (flock/retrim).

Probably looking to sell mine soon though :-(

you dont get a remap to drive it like a granny so presumably itll have seen a hard life

Wouldnt say its as black and white as that.

Although I agree, but for different reasons. You really have no guarantee of where the remap was done. Could have been somewhere proper like Revo, etc or it could have been in someone's shed.
