Starter Motor Location.

Can anyone help me with the location of the starter motor.

My car has broken down at work, battery has a full charge, lights, radio etc all work fuel pump primes but nothing starter wise. No clicking from the starter.

Im hoping its just the wire has broken on the starter but dont know where to locate it on my 1.9 100 tdi .

If I remember correctly, its at the front of the engine bay, just to the right of the alternator. Just the pull the engine cover off if you have one and you should see the top end of it...

Can anyone offer the same advice for my 1.8T MK4? I'm having intermittent start problems and would like to get in there and check the earth wire.
