Steering knocking noise when turning wheel!

Hi,

Im sort of new to this ibiza scene but my steering has a slight knocking noise when you turn the wheel. Its a very faint noise but you can fell it in the steering wheel and clutch pedal.
Does anybody have any idea what this could be?
The steering wheel has a little bit of play in it but i dont think thats causing it.
What do people think i should check first?
It sound like something needs tightening up but my mate reckons its the cv joints.

mine done this when a garage took the rack out. and it was at the bottom of the rack before it goes through the bulk head there is a cover with 2 10mm plastic bolts. and two 13mm bolts hold the rack to the next bit and they never pushed the two bits together properly so was a bit of move ment and could fill it through the pedals an you only need to move the stering wheel a little to hear it.

Its only a little noise but u can feel it and it proper p*sses me off!!

No it's an old thread but I'm having these problems anyone else suffered from the same problems as it's doin my f**king head in

I did but my occur going/at the Ring

Ended up being the rack it's self. Which is why I went for a manual rack

But I hit a massive hole on the autobahn. And hammering it round the ring didn't help lol

Lol I've had a further searched and I've read it could be the top column bearing??
