Had my car MOT'd yesterday and they said that they noticed that when u press either the brake pedal or even the clutch, the steering wheel moves up ever so slightly!

He showed me an i thought thats was very weird. Everything works fine, no knocking or catching but just don't see how or why?

Maybe the pedal brackets go over or around somethin to do with the steering wheel???

I do have my steering wheel adjusted right to the bottom so its low.

Any advice/info?

Cheers jay

The steering column tube hooks over a bar attached to the pedal box !! You can see a very very slight movement in the pedal when you pull down on the steering wheel but only maybe a couple of mm !!

that could be it then!

But its the other way round with mine, might try that an see what happens.

Can someone try just sitting in there drivers seat an press there brake pedal as if your braking and see if you notice any movement from there steering wheel.

Cheers jay

I also have my wheel as low as it goes, just been out and checked mine, no movement from wheel when pressing any pedal.

How easy does the lever lock into place ?? As this can be tightened ! On a new column as I have it is really tight !!

Have a look under there at your pedal box and make sure this hasn't happened if you feel there is too much movement !!
