Steering wheel vibrating under braking

Hi guys!
I am new tot this forum so i will try to sumarise in a way for you to understand.

I bought 20 days ago a Seat Leon Cupra 55reg 1.8 20vt in mint condition,serviced every year with service book and everything but after 2 days i realized that the steering wheel is vibrating when i apply the brakes so i have decided to change the brake discs and brake pads generaly knowing that this will fix it even though they were looking like there was left enough mileage in both of them but since the car had just 51k when i bought it and has not been driven aprox one year between2012-2013 i thought is the right thing to do and make sure i can stop safely.
Two weeks after i fitted corectly the brake discs and brake pads i realized that i have the same issue wich makes me wonder what is happening with the brake system itself?
Before i change them again i just want to make sure that is not something else that i am missing or maybe you know something more about this and i would really like to sort this out since the more i use them like this the worst it gets.

Could be anything mate, wish bones drop links track rod ends top mounts wheels need balanced, steering colom bush, make sure ur calipers are tight, could be anything mate I'd got through it all, have alook and see if anything looks out of place.

I'd check for 'out of shape' tyres, and if they are okay get your wheels balanced at any Tyre and exhaust centre, a lot of garages can do it too.

Had a similar problem, so changed discs and it continued, turned out I had a sticking from caliper which was warping the discs, new caliper and third set of discs everything was fine, but.....could be a multitude as listed above... Good luck...

The tyres are almost new,i don't get any vibration from the tyres at any speed but i did follow another thread from a guy that said that i need to warm them up before i start braking hard,so i did that and succes but the weird thing is when they cool down they start to give that vibration again so honestly i don't know how to sort this out

do you have the same brand of tyre all round the car. how about swapping rears to the the front and try out your braking then, to eliminate the tyres as a problem??

All four are michelin pilot sport 3 with 6mm on the front and 8mm on the back.i am going to a tyre fitting centre soon to get them rebalanced and swap them to see if that is going to change anything

Unfortunately after doing a wheel swap back to front,rebalancing all four wheels,checking all bushes,arms,wishbones etc the vibration it's still there so honestly the only thing left is to change the discs again.
Does any of you know an OEM recommended plain discs?

Chip, as mentioned above it might be a problem with the caliper!!!
If you can get the discs checked for true alignment using a dial indicator then this will tell you if your discs are warped.
Would seem a shame to buy a new set of discs/pads to then find out that it's still the caliper????

But i still have to buy a new set of front discs if they are getting warped by the brake caliper plus changing the brake calipers.
I was reading this guide on google about vibration under braking
And i wonder if could be the case for me to inspect both the brake calipers instead of replacing them?

If you are able to then strip both calipers, clean them out and reassemble with new seals/dust covers

Just a thought but what discs are you fitting? You need to check your calipers certainly but I only mention brand of discs because when I bought my car the previous owner had fitted some pagid discs three months previously but were vibrating when braking. Changed them for brembos and no problem since.

Had the same thing happen to an old car where I fitted 2 or 3 sets of aftermarket discs. At first they were fine but after maybe a thousand miles they'd start vibrating again. Changed for genuine honda discs and the problem went.

I've got the same problem on my LCR. Getting vibration under braking and a constant squeal when driving with no brakes applied. Don't know where to start.
