I wasn't suggesting no airbag, sorry if it came off like that. I agree on not wanting myself or my other half or anyone else to be put at risk for no airbag. I like the wheel, just the glossy plastic doesn't quite match with the flat alcantara IMO.

I hear what your saying its ok dude, it's the same story tho with porsche wheels and BMW alcantara wheels, there's no real solution, could have had maybe mixed the alcantara with leather sections I guess..

Going back to the original ask of the OP any mk4 platfo wheel will work, airbag harness makes no difference to wheel fitment as the connector goes through the wheel and plugs into the slip ring connector, you would take your airbag module carrier out of your old wheel and bolt into the new one,

You can't wothout breaking it, I've tried, and I would warn anybody that thinks it's a great idea to mess about with airbag units to think again, these things are dangerous, static can set them off, I would leave well alone, airbags go off with a big big bang, and will do damage, be warned!!!

It's held on by metal hooks and I decided the risk was too great, I can't really see how you could make the wheel centre look any better without making it look weird, the GT3 porsche wheels are the same

But you can tie the centre in by using a satin leather.

Here's a porsche wheel that the centre has been re trimmed I think it looks so so kak!!!!
