stereo not keeping memory mk1 leon

i have just changed the head unit to a sony and every time you remove the keys it looses all the memory settings. i have not cut any wires just connected the black and brown vlock connectors to the sony loom any help would be great thanks

Does the same on mine, but doesn't really bother me. Look on ebay for seat leon iso adaptor, only about a fiver, should sort your problem

have just read that all you have to do is swap over the permanent 12v and switched 12v on the head unit loom might give this a try tomorrow

yeah thats right, swap the red and yellow wires around on the Sony loom, sorted

I done that and the stereo beeps 3 times is that normal

Sorry I don’t understand is this a question? If so what is it your actually asking?

If it’s a pioneer or similar they do a 3 beep reminder that the face plate is still on the radio.

Yes that’s normal when you take your keys out it will beep to remind you to take the face off mine does it grr lol
