You could get a used one off flea bay but personally I would see it as an opportunity to put something better in if your car is a pre facelift the wiring is standard ISO so a replacement set will go straight in if you have a facelift car you will need an adaptor loom but you can pick a new radio up with bluetooth so you'll have handsfree too for about £150 and a harness if you need one for about £15.

Cool just slide it out and plug the lead in but before you slide the new set back in make sure the memory is working as you may have to swap the red and yellow wires over !

got the new one today, tried puttin it in, but it dont seem to fit. seems a bit small for the slot size and the cage I got with it is too big for the slot size. also the power cable does not fit the new unit. what extra parts would I need to sort this out?

thanks in advance

The Alana cd player is a standard size unit and is replaceable with any DIN size radio as the Kenwood you have purchased is the wiring again is a standard ISO connector which are two blocks of 8 these will only go in one way round as one plug is the power supply the other being the speaker connectors if you have steering wheel controls there is another plug that wont fit anything but a Seat radio. hope this helps

I've just had a look at the images for the Kenwood KDC-3054UR this has a small 10 pin socket on the back and should of come with a short lead in the box for the ISO connection just incase you overlooked this

I've just seen on the image that Kenwood seem to pack the cage on the radio backwards this would explain why it won't fit the slot slide the cage off the radio and this will fit the aperture again only one way round

Fuse in the back of the unit in the wrong place? Did you cross over the red and yellow wires?

Sounds like the main fuse in the fusebox open the drivers door and pull the panel off the side of the dash the fusebox is behind there I found on mine that the diagram of fuse position is for LHD so work on that theory when tracing the fuse
