IPA,one of the best best things for cleaning glass,If you dont know why comment..

Isopropyl Alcohol. I worked with it for years and it's brilliant stuff. There isn't much it won't clean. And as you say, it evaporates quickly. There's a reason why people were sneaking it home with them, it's great for the windows and glasses apparantly. I used to use it to clean my trainers. :D We used it at work to clean down all the surfaces and it was ideal due to it evaporating quickly. The last thing you want is alcohol getting in contact lenses!

Just don't use it in an unventilated area, it's worse than a marker pen for the fumes!

I think it's similar to the stuff you find in lens cleaner kits for glasses and cameras? Certainly has the same smell.

Your trainers? Was there anything left of them?
Where can I buy this?
I think I like the smell already!!!!

Yeah, the leather came up a treat! I don't think it's recommended though. Had a Google and it says you're better to dilute it with water for use on car windows. Not sure if it's any good for stubborn glue marks like you seem to have, so I wouldn't splash out £15 on a bottle from Maplin incase it's no good.

I had the same on my windshield gave up in the end has gone over time but like you could only see when steamed up
