Been having this problem every now and again....
The butterfly valve connected to the EGR valve occasionally gets stuck in the open position which causes the engine to be half-choked i.e lack of power. It requires me to open the lid and manually flick the valve closed then I get full power and can actually drive off.
This generally only happens following a time when I've had the car on for a very short time, like just moving out of the drive then back in again. The next time I come to turn on the engine is struggled because the valve is stuck.
I tried just spraying it with lube but this doesn't seem to have solved the issue.
Ideas?
