Hope someone can help me here..

I bought a boost leak tester recently and have just finished trying to test the system on my X reg 1.8VT Seat Leon, i connected the tester to the TIP pipe and plugged the oil breather and took my oil cap off, but what psi should i be putting through the system?

I put in 8psi using my tyre inflator but the needle on the boost tester did not move and i could not hear any escaping air, do i need to go much higher to properly test or am i doing something wrong.

:help:

I would put what PSI your turbo is putting out..
About 14 PSI Standard...or about 22 PSI mapped.

When i done a boost leak check on mine a while back,i put 30PSI to be safe..

Thanks guys, as its just stock i will take it upto 15psi and see what happens, did not want to go too far without knowing the limit, my first attempt i blew the boost leak tester off the TIP pipe with only 8psi in  my fault for not tightening the clips enough, luckily no damage to anything.

This is what happens when stupid people (i.e ME) start messing with cars :)
