smoothed out my air box today, cant notice any real difference except the zorst note is slightly different, but it kept me out of triuble for 2 hours

Well I was out with karl tonight and some bad news, turbo dynamics stage 2 pd150 md376 has blown, basically it's completely destroyed, it's literally done 2000 miles since being fitted 12th february, pissing out, well bellowing White smoke out the back on idle, what's the best way about going for a warranty claim??

i found out today its not the MD376 which i originally paid for its the MD374 the stage1 turbo..
will is not open till 11th may and i am without a car, i am not happy atm.
this needs to be sorted as i have no car and no way of getting to work..

3 actually. There's another lad on here who's having the same problems as I've had. Hope you get this sorted asap fella! Believe me, I DO know how you feel!

Hopefully it gets sorted for him quickly, he has never really had any good luck with the car, touch wood he only gets good luck now!. I feel really gutted and sorry for him cause i know how much he has spent on the car and he has only just got it near enough spot on and this happens :(, i feel quite gutted aswell cause i feel part of the car aswell as we have done everything on each others cars ourselfs getting them to where they are today, apart from mapping and fitting clutches, everything has been done ourselfs, he also prob feels part of my car aswell in this sort of sense, im sure it will sort itself out and everything will work out ;)

Hope you get this sorted mate, your warranty is with p-torque but if you speak to mark at TD i'm VERY confident he will deal with you!

I know exactly what you mean! It was the same with my car, when it went wrong I just forgot about all the work I'd done and I hated it! We take too much pride in our cars and are gutted when things go wrong. :(

I'd imagine i've spent at least £3k on mine too so know what you mean about the "I feel really gutted and sorry for him cause i know how much he has spent on the car" bit.

Craig Hodgson at TD sorted me out a treat - they're all sound at TD. :) Sorted me out in a day and even now, they picked up my new turbo to hybrid the day I phoned! Proper good customer service! :)

BTW RS - we need to get me booked in for mapping with you guys. ;)

I think rs are brill, did a great map on my car. Sounds like P torque just put some kind of generic map on!?!

Surely this wouldn't happen if it was properly live mapped.

As far as i know, there is at least one chap on ukmkivs who got his car mapped at RS and it ran like a dream.

As for this MD374 business ..... once is bad luck, twice is not learning from first mistake and 3 times .... something is definitely not right somewhere in the system. I would hope P-Torque are given the chance to provide a decent explanation and a full and no quibbles refund on both turbo, mapping and labour - maybe a goodwill gesture towards travelling costs would be in order too.

Karl - you must be gutted and rightly so, really hope this works out for you!!!

I agree with you totally pat, karl has paid out all this money for a what he thought was a decent job which obviously now it seems it isnt and he is lumbered with a tuners mistake again, who doesnt seemed to have learnt from his mistakes before. I think karl should be totally in his right to recieve his money back spent on mapping, fitting and hybrid treatment, and also travel expenses aswell as some sort of compensation money for his incovinience. To be honest i think Will should refund all money and supply a pd150 stage 2 md376 as he ordered in the first place as compensation or good will gesture. I cant wait to hear what excuses are going to be said this time round, P-Torque should stick to basic mapping cause it seems they cant map a hybrid, well get a hybrid set up correct

Ptorque need to make sure they're fitting the right turbo, sending / supplying the right turbo and then matching the mapping to suit the turbo they get, that's the issue - it's not a fitting issue or a mapping issue as such.

If TD clearly mark the turbo as MD374 and then Ptorque just assume it's an MD376 then that's beyond poor.

I am currently away in Mexico....

Its typical that TD are ok to deal with, their mess ups are causing me big issues.

I have worked with company that Paul at RS Tuning deals with to perfect these maps, the problem lies with the turbos.

We even had to send a turbo back to TD, as they had incorrectly adjusted one of the tolerences of the turbo causing blue smoke, so we had to take it straight back off again!

We won't be dealing with them anymore, and have been chatting to CR Turbos regarding becoming a dealer for them.

Having a mare with bloody swine flu and what not!

Speak when I get back,

Regards
Will

That's very interesting!!! I wonder if TD are going down the same route as Allards then!
