strut brace

hi there been looking at geting front strut brace for my 2003 seat leon 20v turbo but cant see how you fix it to the tob of the suspension arms in the engine bay!!
can any1 help

you will need to drill the top mounts to fit the brace. If you use Rivnuts in the holes then you save a lot of time faffing under the car.

id of thought it would have to be a nut and bolt ? i thought it would just rip the rivnuts out as it will be under strain ?

what have other people used as im looking into getting one myself

I used M10 bolt's with Ny-lock nut's on mine.
If you jack the front of the car up you can get your arm up inside the wheel arch without haveing to remove the wheel's.

I used M8 steel rivnuts they seem fine haven't moved at all, there are six of them holding the S3 brace in really can't see them going anywhere in a hurry. Saves a lot of faffing.

get an S3 one from audi, seems to be the most common used. i also used M10 bolts on mine

audi dealer mate around 60 quid, while your at it get the lower s3 one too for a better front setup?

you got uprated shocks and springs?

i would change them too, to get the best out of the braces mate, id save the money from the braces and uprate shocks and springs first...

janspeed do a budget shock and spring kit for seat leon at £140 its a steal, and i have it on mine, was dubious at first but it really is very good....

Seems stupid that the LCT didn't ahve a brace as standard.

Looking at Pabs guide here you can get the part from SEAT and it's just a simple screw in job, fitting holes are already there. LCRs have this as standard but the Cupra / FR doesn't.
