There are 2 small round recesses in the strut tops, these line up perfectly with the strut brace, one each side, so drill these two first, then bolt the strut brace on, then just use the strut brace as a guide and drill through.

Be sure to use new or very sharp bits, otherwise you will be there for a while!!

Thinking of getting a lower one myself but dont fancy doing the upper one due to the drilling. Is it generally seen as a bit pointless doing it this way?

The top one is worth doing it does actually make a difference, a little of a handling improvement but there is an upside that is dash board rattles have decreased a lot since I've fitted one.

best thing to do when drilling hole is start of with small drill bit i.e 3m then work your way up through the sizes. a sharp 3m bit should fly in making the bigger sizes eaiser to go through
