Will this require any modification for my Leon FR Tdi? I notice that the main problem seems to be the bonnet lifter getting in the way? They claim this one is for the 150tdi

Just got my S3 strut brace today! Had to move a metal plate which held two metal water pipes to get it on but only took 2 bliming hours!!! I strongly suggest to anybody that fits one themselves to remove the wheels and possible suspension as its a right c**t with those bits all on there still!

the only part i found that was a right c*nt was drilling the 6 holes through the struts!

i jacked up the car, side by side so i could get my arm up in the wheel arch to hold a spanner on the bottom of the bolts whilst i used my other arm to tighten the top locking nuts in the engine bay with a socket set! ;)

was easy!

I had a look under the bonnet last night and i see there are a few small round markings round the strut covers. they looked to me as though they represented where i would want to be drilling if fitting a strut brace. Am i right?

Was thinking of getting the OMP upper strut brace. Will this go on with the standard airbox? I can only see from folks pics that they have induction kits on.
