I Had The Same Problem, I Tried Pulling Mine Out And All It Did Was Carry On Turning Or Just Not Give Way At All, And For My Own Educational Purposes, Is It The Aerial Or The Actual Base Part Of The Aerial I Should Be Trying To Unscrew And Pull Off?

just the aerial. you dont want the base part to come off. if your worried about it pulling off, hold the base to the roof while you pull the aerial. the aerial will pop off eventually.
yeh as said above you dont need to keep turning it, as soon as its loose the thread is out, then its a pull and wiggle, you wont need that much force really
