Hi There

First posting in this section so please bear with me, I am in the process of thinking of getting a ibiza maybe a refrence sport or a refrence model.

Just wondering how easy is it to install a sub and amp into this model and how would I run the wiring from the battery to the boot.

Hope you can help.

David

i've got my own, but going to take it out if I get a new car. Can I use it with the standard cd player

Davy

You can use the standard head unit but it comes with no pre outs, so u wud need to connect a rca box to one of the back speakers to run ur amp.

Ok mate, that means I will have to take my head unit out the car and install it into the ibiza.

Wud be the easiest thing to do. Only reason i kept my standard unit was to keep the steering wheel controls.

Wot kinda build ya going to do??

As I said in that thread you need an Autoleads PC3-11 lead which will give you preouts from the small yellow ISO block on the back of the head unit.

This is true of the ones with steering wheel controls and I assume its true for those without.

I have a small red box connected to one of the back speakers giving me a rca in my boot and still running my standard head unit. Dont know exact name of the thing tho.
