Hi everyone, I am not mechanically minded at all, changing a headling bulb and topping up screenwash and tyres is about the extent of my technical ability, so I have a quick question!
I recently had a four wheel alignment carried out by a SEAT dealer to SEAT specifications on my LCR. The handling did not improve (very bad pull to the left + loose steering feel) and the steering wheel was badly offset to the left (ie top centre band at 10pm on a clock face!!). After an afternoon of testing and lots of head scratching by the SEAT technicians, the steering wheel was then corrected to dead centre by adjusting the subframe. Would all the geometry settings that had been made on the earlier 4 wheel alignment be out of tolerance again after any adjustment of the subframe?
I ask this question because although the car now drives straight when the steering wheel is centred the severe pull to the left is still present and the loose steering feel also persists, therefore the twisty bit are no longer any fun!
I am tired of trying to get the car sorted as have been in and out of two different SEAT dealers about ten times with this bad handling problem over the past year.
Any helpful comments will be appreciated!
