Best way is to route the cables down under the sill carpet and up under the rear seats and into the boot, making sure you run power cables separate from speaker wires (other side of the car) then you can wire them up to your amp and sub.

Main red power cable coming directly from the battery through any visible hole in the fire wall under the bonnet and through to the boot for mains power.

Earth cable comes from the boot using either a secure bolt through the underside/chassis or a bolt behind the boot lining, usually there is an earth bolt from the manufacturer that you can borrow.

I hope this helps!

I've ran the ground cable to the rear light earth, only place in the boot that I could find that was easy enough to access.

That works, I used the thread in the bottom of the spare wheel well and used a different bolt, that was the best earth as I am using quite a thick cable

Thanks for the response would I need to take the plastic strips off along the interior of the sill?

Yes, if you lift them up there is plenty of room under for the cables/wires.

it is a bit stiff to get them up but they will come with a bit of yanking...

No you wont need to take the dash apart, you only need to unscrew the panel below the glove box and the same one on the drivers side and feed the wires under the carpets under the pedals through any convenient holes, I cable tied the wires up so its tidy then replace the panels

That's coming from the boot to the head unit but if you mean coming from the battery side, you can see where the wire comes through and into the car by looking in the passengers footwell up behind the dash

There is a hole with a black rubber grommet, behind the carpet, in the passenger footwell. It's a little way up so I found myself on my back in the footwell to find it. I had to unscrew the carpet holds at the top and fold it down to expose the hole. It's simple enough but can be a bit fiddly if the carpet holds were screwed up as tight as mine were, as there isn't much space to work under their.

I replaced the old grommet and silicone sealed the hole after I was happy with it, just in case the odd dribble of water came down the wire and started festering under my carpet. Not that it should do this, just a precautionary measure.

We had the same idea, I used a dab of black mastick on the grommet but I was able to slice a small hole in the existing grommet as it was easier than trying to fit a new one and getting the existing cables through it, although it wasn't easy and I was on my back for ages trying to pull the power cable through, I taped it to the end of a metal coat hanger and pushed it through that way then pulled from inside the car

I don't have any pictures atm but if you go into the passengers footwell there is a tray screwed to the underside of the glove box with approx 6 screws, remove this and you will find the grommet a tad further up under the glove box, a little to the right iirc

Hope this helps

wee update, decided to run my wiring along centre console, under rear carpet and seat into boot, found it easier to tuck wiring along sides of centre console instead of taking off sills etc.

cheers for info guys
