Sunglasses Holder

I noticed today there is a grab handle on the drivers side in the exeo, I know some VAG cars have a sunglasses holder there instead, does anyone know if the grab handles are all the same size? There are some on ebay but not sure if they will fit the exeo.

Hi mate, just got one for my Ibiza. It is the Golf/Bora one and the measurement from screw to screw is 45cm (the centre of the screws). The overall length is 95cm.
I`m guessing that VAG use standard sizes of handle for the cars, but the Caravelle one looks bigger to me?

I just measured the distance from between the screws and it is 17cm, will take a look and see if I can find one to fit

45cm are you sure ?? That's about 18" !!!

17cm sounds about right compared to the one I fitted to my Mk3 Ibiza

LOL my bad! don`t know what happened there!

Mine measures about 15cm from screw to screw, and 19.5cm overall. It`s the one for a Golf according to the seller.

Cheers for checking that, was thinking it was a rather large sunglasses holder!! Will be a bit too short for the exeo

Everyone,

Just be careful with the screws, sometimes the sunglasses holder is thinner than the grab handle and this means that the screws go further in when fitting it. The screws can then pop through your roof.

Anyone remember the "I screwed my roof" thread in the MK3 Ibiza section?

The Exeo already has a felt lined sunglasses holder in the middle of the dash, just above the radio.

You must have the worlds smallest head if you can get your sunglasses in there! I'd have to dismantle mine to fit them in.

Hi, don't know what sort of sunglasses you have, but my Ray Ban Aviators fit in there a treat....Julian. 143 SE ST.

My sunglasses fit in there petfectly, I just fold the arms in. You must be wearing some big shades mate

I got 2 pair of sunglasses, one fits in there but the other one not. It depends a little on the shape and how the front part with the glasses is bended.

I've a few pairs of Oakleys and none fit sadly
