having talked to a couple of people that have experience, Nando and Eddy, i decided that i was going to supercharge my car, using an Eaton M45 charger. I got a list together and here are the parts that i have bought for this:

right starting a fresh new progress thread, with pics etc.

I've bought all the parts needed now, just a case of fitting / adapting them to my car. Heres the list:

how much has this cost you so far dude? You doin it to a 2.0 16valver i take it

Awesome.

I'm currently in the process of supercharging my Ibiza. I'm going for the M62 charger though, apparently it works better on the 2.0... I have injectors (I think, they're 440cc, maybe too big?), a FMIC, and a fuel rail.

Inlet next! And Megasquirt!

Glad you've kept us updated mate. How much are the brackets setting you back? And who's doing the installation work?

roelich, let us know how much it costs you when your finished, just cos i thought chrisdaman had a 2.0 16v not an 1800

I'm budgeting £1300 and that includes me wanting it live mapped. When progress kick starts a bit more, I'll post a thread up. The fact my car has broken a good few times of late has really hindered progress.

lol at first i was a bit inpatient but i've learned to cope with that things dont always go according to plan.

i'm hoping for 230-240bhp at the end of the day, the S2 pistons and rods would only give me the comfort of not having to use 2 G60 head gaskets. But then if i melted a piston they're like hens teeth to find.

Roelich, If you get bigger injectors than needed thats ok, cos when you map the car you can control the amount going through the injectors etc. The cossie ones i've bought are 390cc, plenty

i'm going to talk to nando today about the brackets. I think they're going to be roughly £260ish and then i can go up and learn how to fit the charger, Front panel off etc

where can you get them from mate, i never thought about spark plugs, HT leads are on the list though, and an octane booster, not the shite liquids, it sits in the tank, or along the fuel line

yeah, the ECU can manage 'big' injectors, but if it's duration is very short - not a good idea if too short

also.... the injectors you've mentioned have a very poor spray pattern

I think also that 340s @ 4 bar will be too much (more likely 340's at 3 bar will be ideal)

yes as far as i know it bolts straight on, i'll check, i'm only going on a shopping list sent to me. I might have to weld it on to the lower half of my inlet

if you buy an audi S2 one, yopu have to cut one of the inlets off, and it bolts straight on then, the rea; question is could you hack up a rare part like an S2 inlet manifold?
