Hum, so your experience is that fitting LED bulbs is always the reason for intermittent faults being logged against the brake light switches, I would not bet on that being the only reason for that fault be logged. Remember that a faulty switch can cause accidents.
I did what anyone else would do i put in the old standard bulbs and the problem code went same as i did in my old golf - i even replaced the brake switch in the golf and still got the same error (cheap leds)
