Suspention turrets help

Seems silly but this was only just pointed out to me, my shocks appear to be loose on the turrets ie. there is about a 5mm+ gap between the top of the turret and the shock mounting plate that bolts down. I don't know if the previous owner had a strut brace or not, would this explain the gap?

you on about the front suspension? If so it's fine..... loads of people have spoken about this and I just fitted Koni suspension and then Bilstein to mine and both sat like that. Dont worry about it

SO thats fine, just seems a little strange theyre free to move when the weight is taken off the wheel.

It still doesn't seem right, Just measurd the gap above the top of the fron turret, its about 1cm. hang on an I'll try to post a pic.
