after giving my cupra r a really good buff up i can see like swirly like scrath marks on the paint, how do these get here
i have been told car washes do them but i have never took the car through an automatic car wash (previous owner might have), i do sometimes take it to th lil import people who habd wash it and use a power jet wash.
i use a power washer as well someone told me that these also damage th paint work?

Any way wats the best way to get rid of them, i use autoglym super resin polish already but is there something thats really good at buffy these surface marks out

The best way is to get it done professionally with a machine polisher - i.e. getting them 'cut' out of the clearcoat.

They can be done by hand but it's seriously labour intensive.

Megs NXT wax does a good job of reducing / masking their appearance. The first stage for the 3 step megs treatment claims to help also. I guess Scratch X will too... but it will involve a lot of rubbing.

You want to find a nice local SCNER with an PC polisher to give you a hand!
Alternativly i think Auto glym in letchworth will give it to the students and only charge around the £50 mark.

Have a look on detailing world but you wnat to do some simple steps first.

1 - Get a micro fibre wash mit (around £10)
2- Use two buckets to was the car (one to load the soap and one to rinse)
3 - Only use a waffel towel to remove the water

That will reduce the rsik of getting more swirls. And megs 3 step will reduce them on the car but not get rid of them.

i had to use a double headed polisher on mine.it's all down to the new paints that they have to use now they are mostly water based so swirl ever so easy.
