They do look a bit specialised, I agree. I'm thinking cheapish 18 inch rims for the winter months? Going to be challenging keeping those machined alloys in good nick otherwise.

I'd say no black strip. The white edge just frames the front nicely, in my opinion.

May be hard to refurbish the wheel cause they have to recruit the face. If I was you I would buy another wheel and get the other refurbished and see what it comes back like. Then that can be your spare.

Wow that's a lot of money! Did the dealer confirm whether they can get the wheel refurbed? I remember BMW using Lepsoms for all their diamond cut wheels because they could ensure they would come back looking like the OEM wheel did. Problem with refurbishing a cut face is that they need to cut the wheel back a little bit to get the damage out. It will look very slightly different to the rest.

When I saw they came as standard on the Cupra i was worried about this from experience with my old leon. Sort of wish they did standard colour ones!

Me too. Stunned they are 500 quid a pop. Definitely be looking for a different (cheap) second set of wheels for the winter I think.

Hopefully Scott's damage can be repaired adequately. Failing that, I'd be tempted to live with it. I think they will get more damage at some point (especially with females added in to the equation).

From the picture you can see where they cut around the edge of the wheel initially and then stopped. Looks like a clear cut off point. The refurb place may be able to do the same thing and then relacquer. Of course as I said in my other posts it means they will need to cut it back a little but it might not be that bad!
