Maybe you should do the taster session I'm doing on the 19th April (tuesday evening) going on track at 1940 for a 20 minute blast, cost? £20 Bargain!

Tempted at that price mate! But the car isn't ready for the track yet unfortunately.

Hopefully by the end of the year though!

Oh nice one Kat! Mine is going in for some front and back bumper spraying and tiny ding repairs over the summer. Can't wait to get those done. What goodies are these you mention? I'm sure you will be smiling, these cars always make me smile every mod that I do it seems to work :)

Haha, a few of you have referred to my car being a 'beast' or get their own upto big power.. But mine is no where near finished!

And talking of pictures, I'm currently uploading LOADS to my photobucket... They will follow shortly!! ;)

t0m how you getting on with those 3 fault codes have you managed to take off the front bumper yet and check the intercooler pipes for any boost leaks and clear codes

I need you to keep an eye on the pressure drop fault code you have 17705 check dv

i need to know really if its map related or something else, if yours goes and doesn't return let me know i clear it but it comes back

yeah would like to do a track day in mine don't think its ready stopping power wise at the moment BRAKES!

would love to do castle combe, nurberg ring that would be amazing!

Didn't manage to scan the car today mate. I cleared the codes last week and the only one which returned was the 02 lamda sensor too low one appear. DV boost leak code hasn't re-appeared which I'm keeping my eye on don't worry.

Boost leaks can be caused from so many locations mate it's tricky and I wouldn't say that would be map related really. But your likely to get them more when mapped because of the higher boost on most of the pipes which can split/come loose/off..

Exactly, brakes are a massive thing on track and I want to talk to Bill about whether I should go 2 piece 330mm discs or if EBC plain discs with ds2500's would be ok for light track use... Well I say light but not sure that's the right term on track! :cartman:

Nurburgring will be getting done next year if I still have the car. Will definitely be ready by then, but I want it to be a warm and sunny day so I can go for it somewhat!

Also bud, I've got those side on shots of spacers, will post them in your thread now. Just uploaded all my pics to my photobucket.

thanks t0m do you think you can scan your car again for me when you get a chance and double check that pressure drop code again one final time then i will know then thats the only code im getting :(

think its the badger5 tip although have checked and rechecked it or maybe my maf, or the dv was opened at AMD for yellow spring 99% no splits on any of the pipes

were no boost leaks before went into AMD now not so sure only things that have changed are mentioned above

thanks for sorting those pics out :D

More pics!!!

So today or shall I say yesterday, my car was cleaned up and the wheelnut bolt covers we're refurbed.. I used acrylic spray and then gloss also in a spray form. Applying 3 coats of each at 5min intervals. They're drying overnight and will go on the car 1st thing in the morning before I head off to Brands Hatch for the BTCC.

I will scan the car again on Monday James and let you know how I get on :)

Could well be code related as Brad mentions.. I may have a REVO map by the time summer's out anyway as I fancy the SPS switch controller and playing around with that.

No worries. Some pics above of spacers and side on shots, but I'll post all good one's in your thread.

hoping it is code related tbh which in itself is annoying i suppose lol, but had the car checked before and there we no boost leaks so still unsure i think revo route would be good annoyed i sold my SPS controller now lol do you think we would get the same results with the revo map or less bhp, torque etc

Cheers for the comments mate! Appreciate it :)

PM's replied to all sorted there I think ;)

If it's code related, it will be a pain having to get the mapping done again but worth it in the long run. Mine's ok for now so not too worried. Car is running fine, just a few niggly codes coming up but I'll look into it more this week now my job situation is sorted!

REVO or AmD code I can't see much difference mate in terms of bhp/torque. Would be marginal, but with the REVO you can tailor it to how you want it to be. I'll probably end up with that code on mine in not too long if I get impatient for an SPS controller. Shame you sold yours indeed!

Right I'd love to chat all night about vag tuning bud, but gotta be up at 6ish for BTCC, which means 5hrs sleep now lol, but I'm kipping in the car before race one so will regain some sleep there I guess :)

Wheel spacer pics have been posted in your thread btw. Catch you on here soon mate. Night.

Im a bit of a perfectionist Tom and I just can't stand to see it how it is just now! I should have it back by start of May, in time for my bday on the 7th I hope! :D
It's all rather small mods really. 3" TIP, Upper Boost Pipes, Ketex Cone, S3 Coolant and Battery Covers. Just things to tidy bay up a bit :)

Pics of spacers look ace! What size you got? Im gonna be getting spacers soon I think!

Haha I know the feeling Kat! Bugs me when things need sorting out aswell! Going for ultimate perfection on the car now!
I hope yours is sorted for your birthday, that'll be nice!

My spacers are 10mm on the front and 15mm on the rear, by Forge.

In other news I'm parked up next to an ugly Focus RS in that bright green and it's hurting my eyes :( lol.

Mint! Great job!

I love that the red hosing gives a hint as to what's lurking ready to go.

Great example of a LCR

Cheers tyrer :)

I try to keep it a subtle oem'ish sleeper look, but the fmic does give it away a tad

Looking awesome as always mate. Top job. May have to purchase myself some spacers!

Cheers mate!

Spacers rock, do it. Sets off the car so well especially if lowered. :D

Brands BTCC - Great day!

Not long been back from Brands Hatch from the BTCC and it was a top day out. Firstly, the weather, no rain and plenty of sun throughout the day :)

The racing was good, the BTCC looks better set this year, lots of different models on show and my man Plato won the 1st 2 races so :D face.

Also, had a touch and parked the row infront of DK and dav3 in their LCR's on South Bank.. Had a good chat and banter throughout the day. DK helped my missus with her SLR camera, lol. And looks as though that's going to be her money pit now as the car is mine, thanks Daz  ;)

Also met MarkWabe, top bloke and had a good chat. And saw J@mes too, showing him the badger5 TIP as I believe he is considering one now..

The day was capped off with an M25 blast with DK in the LCR's and it was great fun ;) Booting it in turns past each others cars makes you realize how awesome these cars sound on boost :D

Cheers for letting me know about my brakelight out too mate! Will be getting a new one tomorrow.

It's creeping ever forward in my mind mate! LCR's just sit to high as standard. Come July/August when I'm finished college (if I pass all my exams) then I'll no longer have a need to use the multi storey carparks in the city centre and may just have to get the car lowered! Not sure how to go about it though, springs, springs and shocks or coilovers
