Thanks for the compliment Tom, back at you! I'm extremely jealous of your fast track approach to Stage 2, I wish I had done the same now with the problems I have on Stage 1 with Stage 2 mods (call it Stage 2+ with B5 TIP?). I've really tried to hate the thing the last couple of weeks but as soon as I get inside it and get that exhaust note going I just smile :D.

Still, on with the work, lots of maintenance things to be doing this weekend and a full detail I think too. Then next week or by the end of the month I'll buy the FMIC and stage 2 it finally. Pencil in the beginning of May for an AMD mini-meet if you wish :).

Stage 2+ with B5 TIP sounds good to me

Thanks mate. On yours, I couldn't get over the strength of the respray when I had a quick look at the AmD RR day back in Feb. With the wheels it looks superb. I really hope the Stage 2 code and FMIC sort out your issues your having. Maybe an MBC could be an answer to going by what Bill is saying. It's a very odd issue considering alot of B5 TIP LCR's on here are not having the issue.

It's the small maintenance things which make you pleased aswell. Like replacing a brake light bulb the other day for me, and just knowing I'm keeping the car to the best condition I can possible. Make sure you post pics after your detail :)

Are you fitting the FMIC yourself? Or have it done the morning before the Stage 2 code?
I'll be up for a mini meet there. Will you be getting it done on a Saturday? As I start my new job on Monday and am back on the Mon-Fri routine. As a new starter, getting time off will be tricky.. Also with added pressure from the missus for a holiday too at the moment!

Once you have a date set, maybe we could ask around see if anyone else fancies popping down, but only a small crowd and not actually a rolling road day etc which would need to go through Shaun.

It does in my eyes mate

You'll see it tomorrow up close and see where I mean. I just need to get some engine bay cleaning products and spend a weekend on it soon really.

And  I like the back one too, subtly gives away that it's mapped.

Exactly what I want to do as well mate. After the map I want to make it look nice, my bay is a total state. In fact you're not allowed to see it tomorrow  Reading rsmiths readers ride you mentioned to me has inspired me to sort it out.

A subtle reminder when they're eating your cupra dust ;)

Haha, sorry but bonnet's will be up :p The sun is out, no excuses, lol.

It's ok mate believe me mine is far from perfect under the bay. Needs alot of cleaning put in yet!

Yeah, Robbie's car is a big inspiration! It's a real finished looking LCR for me and my favourite on the site.

Loved the MK2 which had to eat my Cupra dust after Brands Hatch on the way out, bet he wasn't expecting the MK1 infront to whoosh off into the distance the way it did! :cartman:

It's an amazing looking car. Definitely going to stick with blue hoses and brembos after seeing his. Maybe I will attempt to tidy it up a bit tonight then  will look much smarter after I've bypassed the N249. All those small hoses look crap and messy.

You said you may have a few bits to do at AMD tomorrow? What were they?

The respray was definitely one of the best things I have done, I fell in love with the car again after that. I remember parking it next to an ex-members car on here and the look on his face wasn't the best :D.

I'm going to order the MBC with the FMIC, I may need it or may not but I'll ask Forge in advance if I can return it new in the box if I didn't need to use it. I will be fitting the FMIC myself, it looks simple enough really and about the hardest park looks like getting the bumper off, I might ask for some help though and throw a BBQ and beer in round mine for anyone who does. The beauty of the Forge kits are the crash bar and keeping the fog lights but I might get rid of them as I've had some 3" silicone ducting sitting in the garage for a year ready to use.

I'm a Monday - Friday guy too, all professional in the week and then covered in oil on a Saturday daytime :D so it'll be a Saturday for sure that I do this. I don't plan on making it an RR day, I just want the car Stage 2'd and we can all hang about for a chat or what not if your ears survived my exhaust.

Yeah go for blue mate. Don't go red, lol.

Only a couple of small things like stickers I'm after mate.

Yeah check with forge if you can return the MBC if not required buddy. Would be interested to know if you can do this incase mine ever gets the same issue come up.
BBQ and beer sounds good, I'm sure a few of us will pop by to lend you a hand then! :D

Yeah they have their own crash bar which makes installation easy. Robbie (rsmith) backs this up with his big race fmic install going by his RR..
I want to get some of that ducting soon!

Sounds good, a bit of a stage 2 social  - I want to hear your exhaust up close so yeah I will definitely try make it down when you are booked in for the work.

I'm liking this one mate. I'm thinking of getting a few and doing the underside of my bonnet like D.K.'s, obviously with the stuff thats on mine though.

D.K's is full of stickers under the bonnet! I think he steals them when he's down AmD eh Daz ;)

He was doubled shocked when I flew past him [B)]

He sure moved out the way for the MK1 brigade! I preferred looking at your LCR than the MK2 in my mirror that's for sure. Alot more pleasing on the eye!

Tom you need to post that picture Jenny took on Sunday, If you dont I will :D

Haha, what this one mate........ She got me to pose like that alright!!!

:cartman: It's mine I'll lean on it if I wish, LOL...

Haha, that hot air balloon is at Brands' everytime the BTCC is on and everytime I wish it would just take off!

I dislike that picture tbh, purely for the fact it looks like I'm posing, lol.

The car looks alright but I look like a tool.
