Time for a service! 60k is a big one too. I came back from a nighttime blast one night late last year, parked up outside the flat with the odometer showing bang on 50000, got a photo of that on my RR :)

Car's looking good mate, yours must win an award for the most pampered car on here!

The car had a full service in Jan mate. Only done a few thousand miles since then. What do SEAT dealers do on a 60k service?

I remember seeing that photo on your RR! Milestone moments, lol.

Cheers for the comments mate, I try to pamper her as much as I can. I just don't think it's a car which should be run into the ground! Recently had an offer from someone locally who wants to buy my car! Turned it down!! She is not for sale :D

Can't remember what's all involved, pretty much everything but if you're interested then it tells you in your service logbook.

Must admit I've fallen a bit out of love with mine but she's getting the turbo replaced on Tuesday, hopefully that has it feeling good again, it's running like a bag of sh*te just now and belching smoke - I keep thinking it's a diesel :) Hopefully it'll be sorted this time and I'll be able to write some positive things in my own RR thread soon :) Just wish I was within easier reach of Badger5 or AMD for remapping time.

I just had a look here mate:
http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=201012

I had my cambelt/water pump(metal impeller) replaced last October. Then full service in January, literally everything done. Oil, oil filter, fuel filter, pollen filter, not air filter as I run jetex cone.. I should be ok till around Oct/Nov as I'm thinking of having a pre-winter service this year. Might aswell get her done twice a year now :)

Ah mate sorry to hear about the turbo, but glad you've got a replacement sorted. Will it be a brand new one or recon'd K04? Fingers crossed it all goes well for you bud.

Have you got REVO or Custom Code distributors by you? Both great maps also. I like AmD as they are local and never put a foot wrong with me. Great customer service is so important for me too.

I got a recon'd one from Badger5, he had four for sale recently. It's in a box in my kitchen right now :) Pic on my RR.

There are REVO and CC places nearby, yes. Toying with the idea of the new stage 1 REVO Linear map, I prefer the idea of a more progressive map than everything the car has in the first half of the rev counter. Not going any further with this car than stage 1 tho, not unless I end up keeping it longer than another 2 or 3 years - but I have some RS4 shaped plans that mean that's not likely to happen :)

Oh nice, I'm sure it'll be in great condition then mate :)

I've read a little on here from others about the new REVO linear map and it sounds good. Progressive is the best way for these. Mine has a slight kick to it but nothing too savage ;)

RS4 will be nice if those plans come together! They sound great. I'm not sure what I'll buy after my R goes one day. Always wanted an e46 M3 CSL. They look and sound the nuts. I know there are better driving/performing cars for the money, but I just want one badly lol.

I was looking for an E46 M3 recently before I decided to keep the LCR and fix it. There are plenty about, can get a tidy, average-mileage one for about 12k, depending on age. Can get the CS (not CSL) one too which is some of the kit from the CSL but not as much of the exotic weight-saving materials. Only thing is insurance - for me it would cost about 300 quid more for a 2003 E46 M3 than it would for a 2007 RS4 - go figure!

They are nice tho but my heart is set on a V8 one day soon, if I did go to a BMW I'd go for an E90/92 M3.

In that case, RS4 is a no brainer! Insurance is a massive factor when buying indeed.

Hmm, I'd love an E90/92 M3 aswell! I need to stop thinking about new cars and focus on the job in hand, the LCR..

Plus the dreadful state of the roads around here and the good old Scottish weather, I think big-power RWD cars aren't very sensible - I was driving the g/f's MX-5 yesterday and even that was a real handful in the wet - RS4 4WD FTW :)

Insurance, yes even more so for you I'd have thought, think you're a good few years younger than me!

But yes, LCRs are where it's at for now :)

The state of the roads around my area are getting worse by the day aswell mate. Shocking state and they just don't seem to be getting fixed anymore. I guess down to government cuts it's all affected!

RS4 4WD does really appeal sometimes I must admit!

I'm 24, but not far off 25 so I'm hoping for a drop in policy price again next year.

LCR's are a good value car to tune and don't cost the earth to run I find.

I hope your turbo replacement goes smoothly mate.

Cheers, it's going to a good garage who specialise in race and rally cars so I'm sure they'll do the job right on my little LCR :)

Had my mate Chris aka demonite on here round earlier, helped him out with some bulbs.

Also tried to do his remote windows and TB reset but the vagcom ports weren't matching up. Next time I'll sort it, possibly Tuesday this week.

So after I did a fault scan on mine and a quick TB reset, and boy are they worth doing. The acceleration is so much smoother. Really a great thing to do once in a while, especially if you've been modding under the bay at all :)

Clutch options..

Right all, I need your input.

My clutch feels worse than it did a few months ago and I'm sure it will die on me before the end of the year. :(

Car has just hit 60k and it's the original clutch. The car did go straight to stage 2 power so I did think this might happen one day.

It's not feeling like it's going to go on me any day now. But I want your input, especially those LCRs who are stage 2'd and what clutch route you took and why?

I know this will cost a bomb when I get it done, but I'm leaning towards the uprated clutch route rather than try an OEM new replacement. Reason being car will be hopefully going on track early next year.

I said I wouldn't, but the car is such an animal to drive I want to take it round Brands at least once as it's my local track.

Lots to do before track, but clutch is high priority 1st of all. Bushes, ARBs and brake overhaul then she'll be near enough ready to rumble :)

Stick with a standerd clutch Tom, I've been running much higher than standerd power for around 4 years now and I've not had any problems.
If you do uprate it dont go for a single mass fly whell, it will sound like an old tractor.

Hmm..
Who's the best person to speak to at AmD about it? Any idea what they charge for a whole new setup fitted? I'm sure the Sachs one is around £1200.

Tom, stick with the stock clutch but ask AMD to reduce peak boost a little to stay under 300 ft/lb and then the clutch should last a long time. Any idea what your peak boost is.

I still have the stock clutch(52k), it just needs to be treated with a little respect, i have had it running up to 330lb/ft and on dyno it only started to slip during normal power output at 360lb/ft + while test the Hybrid V1.

Avoid power launches and you should get more use out of it.I did slip intially after remapping, i just changed my driving style to suit.I will happily push the stock clutch to 330lb/ft.
