Lovely motor Tom a true credit to you!

Im really surprised AmD didn't advise you or swap the spring themselves in your DV when it was stage 2 mapped though :help: that is a weird one i must say

What boost are you running to achieve such high figures?

Tom

Glad you got the DV sorted bud, must be a dream to drive now!

Cheers mate :)

Drives better, but think the MAF is dying. It'll get there to how I want it, but it's not there yet..

 those vids are rubbish mate..get out and get us some real vids. I wanna hear the noise ;)

I dont believe for a second Darrens car was dirty either :banned:

Haha, mate if you don't like them blame Darren... lol. I will get better vids one day! It'll be on the rollers at AmD in just over a month so I'll get a better one then aswell..;)

Spur of the moment :D
Trust me mate it's rottern, It got a run round the M25 last week in the wet

Yeah I didn't know you were filming!

And your car was a mess by your standards! I'm sure it won't be like that come this weekend...

Thanks mate :D I do love it when I look at it and think how it's come along since day one and never thought it would get this far, but there's so much more to do so it's only fair to finish the project with some icing on the cake mods later this year :)

I think I may have told AmD the spring was yellow but it was infact green..

Boost (when running right) seems to peak at 1.6 bar which I think is around 23 psi? I need to do more logging tbh, she's way off what she was a year ago. But hopefully by the AmD RR day on the 4th March I'll have her firing back on all cylinders ready for another crack at 300 with more noise from the decat this time

Are you coming to the rolling road day mate?

I doubt i'll be able to make it to the RR day as im quite a distance away in Manchester :(

Hope you get the problem sorted soon mate

Tom

Yeah fair call mate, would be a bit of a trek down.

Cheers :) She'll be back to her best soon. Ordering bits today ;)

Update

6 months road tax paid for :( Not sure what we pay it for these days I feel like I should get paid to drive on these pot hole roads! Sure I find the odd nice road and enjoy driving the car on it, but the majority are s***. Anyway rant over...

..Today I ordered an Audi S3 upper front strut brace from Bromley Audi. Should be picking it up on Saturday. Ordering the necessary M10 bolts and nyloc nuts tomorrow as these don't come with the brace.

Also spoke to someone today and should have a new MAF coming soon. I think mine is playing up so it's getting replaced.

And my SFS tip I can forget turning up this week - earliest I've been told is middle of next week. Oh well, can just forget chasing it until then! Ridiculous waiting time though for a TIP now near on 2 months or so!!!

I'd be going mental mate. Have you tried resealing the adapter for the B5 V1 tip? that might sort your problem out.

I hope my message on FaceBook helped you out Tom. Let me know if you need any more help and if you fancy a drive down this way, I can help with the logging.

Yeah it did cheers mate :D Sorry been meaning to reply to you on there been very busy last few days with all sorts!

Just getting the time and another person to help me with logging but my mate local to me wants to learn how to do it with his vagcom on his LCR so we will get it done soon for sure.

I wasn't happy last week but it's down to how quick SFS make them and it's not 'quick' by any means lol.

Not too fussed and not re-fitting the one on there now as it'll be off soon and I drive what less than 10 miles a week? Also not that bothered as I'm ordering other bits and pieces at the moment to keep the project going :D

I was considering a SFS but no way am I waiting that length of time, if I decide to replace mine I think it'll be with a B5 V2. I'm considering taking the V1 off and refitting it just to give me piece of mind.

What bits you ordering? are you any closer to getting in polybushed?

It's because it was part of the group buy mate but right at the end. Give Awesome GTi a call and see if they have them in stock if you consider one mate.

New MAF been ordered, S3 strut brace (well the nuts, bolts and washers are getting ordered today). Also want a new Jetex.

Polybushing is on hold due to car tax last night, and the fact she will need an oil service at some point during February, and then the dreaded car insurance is up in March! :(

After that it's full steam ahead for the rest of the year with some tasty upgrades including polybushing. Front ARB will be done at the same time so she'll have both ARB's, S3 front brace, Hughes engineering rear, polybushed everywhere and then the plan is a Wavetrac with my new clutch/fly wheel setup in a few months. Time to get the power down properly... :D
