Finally fitted my LED rear numberplate bulbs today, so much brighter than crappy yellow standard one's

Scanned the car this afternoon, and was expecting to see the an ABS sensor fault, maybe something to else to do with that suspected boost leak from when my EML light come up, but nope, neither of those.... Got Lambda code instead! This was why I 1st thought the EML light come up nearly a week ago and wouldn't go away. Especially as I've recently had the turbo back exhaust fitted, I was thinking it MUST be the lambda... Either way it's showing up now.

I cleared the code and took the car for a blast and it felt absolutely unreal, took it near to the motorway on a dual carriageway pass and the noise and acceleration is very very good! Changing into 5th with the revs screaming and hearing the jetex/dv dump noise at much higher volume is awesome! Had the windows down even in this cold

I did also go to Halfrauds earlier today to get some big cable ties. These are to use around the backbox of the exhaust as my original mountings are worn a bit. This should lift up the exhaust tailpipe to sit flusher with the bumper. Got a random pic in the car park.

Also went to a scrap metal place today and got some cash for the old exhaust which has been sitting in the boot all week.

Tom you dont put the cable tie's around the backbox, they go around the rubber hanger.
I recon the bracket might need bending a bit.

Lol I meant the rubber hanger haha! Plastic cable tie round warm backbox... Only one outcome!

There's 2 rubber hangers isn't there? I'll have a look under there when it's at AmD and see what they say about bending the bracket.

It seems to be sooting up a little bit mate ;)

That's not too shabby..
Do AmD rate these over the Ferodo's or just a good alternative?

Think they rate them about the same really. Just that on the race car of theirs they found these to work the best for them. Thought I'd try them out, nothing to lose!

Cool, well I'll see how you get on with them and make my decision then I think :)

If I didn't get a red Leon I would of gone for your colour Tom
Led number plate bulbs look good, think I might look into buying some

I had a black LCR 1st time round, but wanted something that didn't show up the dirt as much this time round, so went for platinum. Really love it. Although every LCR colour seems to look good imo :)

Bulb plates make a big difference when it's dark. Love em! Can't really go wrong for £3.50 off ebay either lol!

Update: This weekend see's the 3" TIP fitted plus both Forge upper intercooler boost hoses going on, in Red of course ;)

The map has been great, bar tonight.. I noticed on the way to my gf's house that the car felt slow, almost unmapped! It didn't have any kick in 2nd that has been chucking me into the back of my seat, and I was very worried.

I actually drove on past the gf's house a bit as I wasn't happy turning it off as it was... So pulled up and turned off and turned car back on, booted it up a few sensible roads to boot and oh my it was back. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

I'm going to speak to AmD on saturday with the car down there to see if anything is up with the ECU.

I know I've got a lambda fault, but the light isn't continually coming up on the dash and hasn't done for a few days. But I'm pretty sure it's there alright. I spoke to AmD about that a few days ago and they are going to map out the lambda problem. I'll have to see how it pans out on Saturday and let you know if anything was wrong with the car to cause this off/on stage 2 feeling I went through earlier..

On a better note, I'm eyeing up a full service for the car now and am looking forward to the car having fresh plugs, fuel filter, oil filter and oil going in. Should run a bit sweeter. Before the map I sometimes thought the car felt rougher than it has done so it's been due for a little while.
Hoping to get the service done in the next couple of weeks.

 Good man! looking forward to seeing what gains you get from 3" TIP. Is Bill doing these in red now? from what I can see in the thread he had bother sorting out the silicone hoses.

Yeah he sure is doing them in red, I believe you can get the middle part polished too but mine won't be, but I'm not fussed aslong as it does the job!

I'm hoping for gains mate, all the evidence is there in the other threads of gains in g/s, so will hope it does well again on the rollers next time.

I think it makes a difference higher up the range in holding peak boost so they say... So I'll be looking at this 1st of all when it next hits the rollers with the 3" TIP on and ECU adapted.

Not sure if I roll it on Saturday though or just leave it till AmD RR day on 20th Feb.

Ive gained 16g's just by adding the 3" TIP and jetex filter. Higher up in the revs it feels more free flowing and willing to go. Looks like it holds boost better on the gauge aswell :)

Ah I really can't wait to get it fitted now! :D
16 g/s is a very good gain mate. I'm sure my Jetex will be grateful for me buying the TIP!

Ok people, I'm off to AmD tomorrow morning to get my sick car sorted out!

1st problem - ESP light is constantly on, ABS sensor is dead. Will be getting this replaced.
2nd problem - Lambda fault, getting this mapped out.
3rd problem - the map seems to be off one minute (and I'm not joking, the car is not kicking me back at all even in 2nd) then if I switch off and restart, it's back.. I'm sure there's a problem with the map so it's getting a good look into tomorrow and I want it sorted as it wasn't cheap the other week when it was done!

All of the above combined is causing the car to run like a pig :(

Hoping she's all fixed up tomorrow and running back to full health.

Also got the 3" TIP going on tomorrow, along with 2 Forge upper boost hoses from the intercooler, finally getting these sorted. So she should be a tad quicker tomorrow evening with the 3" TIP going on ;)

And one more thing, full service is booked at my mates garage next weekend. NGK plugs going in! :)

Just want her back to her best! Hate having faults on the car at the moment.
