i agree with EL, tom your cooler is doing a good job, its only a hose that has popped off, cold happen with any kit if the clamp isnt tight enough. as you know i havnt had a problem with mine and im sure we kick out the same turbo pressure (1.7 bar)

Got to say though your engine bay looks sweet! I'm really fighting with myself not to get a 3" TIP before I have the cash for the cooler, then it'll be both together.![]()
If you do get a big turbo and new cooler anytime soon I know a man after a FMIC![]()
Not to knock the quality or ability of forges big race cooler but i think a better setup can be had with a custom job
I have worked out and got pics of my proposed rote from phillc's car, i have also managed to find a large cooler with 2.5" inlets and slim enough to fit behind the crash bar and almost to the bonnet catch
End tanks on it are small so shouldn't protrude out too far blocking new route
This will have to wait a few months before i start it but if you are in no rush i will keep you informed as and when

I'm sure they're both great but they're very expensive, not everyone can justify spending that much on mods for their car (me for one). I honestly have no idea how some of the folks on here can just go and drop a couple grand at a time or more on big turbos, hybrids, mods etc. I'd personally have thought if you had that much disposable income then just buy a better car, that's what I'd do if I was that lucky but then my experiences with my LCR have been pretty much entirely negative so far.
I reckon a custom/generic FMIC plus the pipework and whatever bits are needed to hold it all together can probably be done for just over £200 and like I said, am sure the Forge kit is great but when it starts about £600ish for the standard one I couldn't even look at that personally.
Not like I'm on a poor salary or anything, I'm an IT professional but as I get older and my salary goes up I seem to have less and less disposable income. Oh well

Good news Tom, really hope it lasts this time, mine too! Ive started to notice the chatter too, especially when at low speed in a high gear and building up the boost with a bit of throttle. Sounds immense dont it

Yep, S3 front, Hughes rear. Then R32 front arb and neuspeed rear. Do ityou know you wanna, would compliment your coilovers well
