Good news matey you've got a nice shopping list there lol I must be in tge wrong job :( lol

Cheers mate! Pricey list, but it won't be happening too quickly. Rather than sell for a MK2 Cupra, I think I will aim to get the car done over 12 months now with those main mods being the big one's to do still. Then see how well she goes and hope it's good enough to keep for a few more years.

Well done mate, watch the mods start coming now lol

Cheers bud! I will try to resist temptation on paydays, but I know what I'm like..

Oh no, you better not become one of those average speeders - the f**kwits that drive along your favourite B-road at 45mph then when they hit town and the limit drops to 30mph, they steam right on at the same 45mph they were before. They make my piss boil [:@]

Congrats on the job mate :)

Haha, no I won't mate. If it gets to that I will retire my driving license as they annoy me as much as you!

And cheers mate!

Great news mate! Congrats.

Are you going to be spending more on the LCR now ;) ??

Cheers mate. Hmm, I guess so with that list above.. I still think there's alot to do to make the car go well on a track but might not be for a year or so.

Won't be spending out in big lumps like jan/feb with the map/exhaust/spacers etc all at once! Slowly but surely is the aim..

Congrats on the new job Tom

Cheers Nick!

Brill news mate well done!!

Cheers El!

congrats mate!

Cheers bud!

Cheers Sam!

Well done Tom :)

Cheers Jase!

Has that new N75 arrived yet? Hope it sorts your surge issue out.

Well done T0m! :)

Cheers James!

I'm a bit touched by all the comments guys

I'm feeling the SCN love

No N75 yet but hopefully when I get home it'll be there :). I'll post up in my thread the results but if it doesn't fix it then I'm just going to buy a FMIC and Stage 2 the car by the end of April, that should reign the boost in properly and I'll escape the need for an MBC :).

Nice one.. Hopefully it is there when your home and you can let us all know the problem is fixed fingers crossed! Reading your 'surge' thread has been good as I will know what to do if I experience the same on mine in the future.

Maybe the fmic and stage 2 code have been significant in mine not suffering from it? As it went straight to stage 2 and skipped 1?

All if's and but's still, but I hope it's the N75.

I'm also one for not wanting an MBC fitted to mine. I'd rather the car be setup not to overboost with the map and run healthily without.

One big happy SCN family are we! Strange how a love for a car brings people that you'd never have met otherwise, together. I've never been one for standing in car parks but for the people on here I really don't mind making the effort and for all the problems we have and find solutions here, we all owe each other a night out I think.

I'm so appreciative of the response to my surge thread, I read Robbie's when he had his Hybrid set up and remember thinking that I actually had no idea what he was on about, I even thought it was specific to his hybrid but sadly for me, in a way, I've become test pilot for it on OE K04 but once I find the problem I hope that it helps many people who get the same symptoms.

Agreed on the non-MBC route, I know it would work but seems to just mask a problem that would always be there if it wasn't fitted. My car is the same as yours minus FMIC & Stage 2 so if you can have a happy car then I am sure I can too. It is nice to know that if all else fails then there is a way to fix it though :).

Couldn't have put it better myself! Funny old things forums, but so useful as all of us here with the same car want what's best for theirs and are constantly learning from each other... Your surge thread is just another example. Maybe you could organize the SCN-LCR night out 2011!

Like you, I read Robbie's thread with the surge issue's and alot of it was making no sense to me, but gradually you learn (especially with Bill posting up in true detail) and so you get to know what parts of the car can cause it and what to look for. I'd have had no idea where to look going back a year or so, but N75 seems to be the strongest contender, or it could well be map related as yours is running stage 2 mods bar the FMIC. But then that's not essential until ambient temps are noticeably holding back the cars performance vs SMIC's.

Masking a problem in your case is what I also think when I look at the MBC option. I may yet get my boost turned down or REVO installed in the future and get the SPS switch to adjust to my liking. Bit worried about the torque at the moment and my rods... But easy solution is never to boot it from low down stupidly or when the car is cold, or barely at all. I think now I've got my job situation sorted, uprated rods could be coming to my setup sooner than expected after discussing prices on Dan's thread. INA, IE or Bill's one's I forget the manufacturer sorry but it's in his thread. All options which I'm going to be looking at to future proof the car.

I watched CJRamze's track video the other night and it really makes me want to get mine to track standard but still useable everyday. I won't be ripping seats out etc. But ARBs, brakes and good tyres will all be on the menu. One day!

Well I've been bought a track day at Brands Hatch this Summer so I want the car good and ready by then. I've just polybushed the front ARB and had S3 bushes in the wishbones so things are feeling a little tighter, after FMIC & Stage 2 I will be going for a RARB which I think will make the car pretty sorted. Rods are a consideration too but that's something dependant on whether I keep the car or go for that 335i. Work is looking promising this year so as we see in 2012, that'll be when I make the decision to sell I think as I'll need a more executive car.

LCR night out, i like the idea
I have always been planning mine as a daily drive but part time track hack
I have kept the practicality but made some significant handling upgrades, look at my RR if looking for some track orientated mods
Still running OE map too

Hmm, I really want polybushes badly now! Does it feel tighter to drive when riding bumps etc you can tell it's not so 'wishy washy' underneath you?

I'd say finish the LCR and forget the 335i... That's too easy! LCR is a challenge :)

Mine will be going the whole hog now and capable of fast road/track use by end of the year hopefully!

Me too mate! :drunk:
Yours and a couple of others are my inspiration for making it part track focused/ready by the time the year is out so thank you!
I was going to ask you about the map on yours... So are you going to map it eventually?

Congarts on the new job Tom!

Thanks Kat! :)
How's the LCR coming along?

major congrats t0m on the job once again! :D

another 12months shopping list to go! haha

i've had mine over a year supposed to be finished lol no chance dam cars!

you soon then http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGwNecMZrtQ

Cheers mate! :D

Yeah another 12 months it could well be! Easily really when you look at the price of clutches and then rods etc because your car is kicking out too much torque!

A year isn't enough mate. But they're proper weapons once sorted out and track ready. You going to track yours in the future?

Haha, that won't be me anytime soon I don't think! Needs loads of work in my eyes before she can venture onto the track.

I'll be starting at my local, Brands Hatch whenever the time is right though. Driven round there before in the Renaultsport Megane 230 F1 and single seater gift day you can do and love the track.
