Just remembered, on another note... I will be going to DK's at some point tomorrow to check out my new dipstick handle.

Big thanks to Aaron (Probee) for sending this over to me.

The handle is polished and should compliment the inlet mani and the charge pipe nicely.

Other planned action over the weekend is to give her a quick clean :)

Tom you say you can hear a hissing noise on idle. When your tip was fitted was the one way valve fitted to one of the tips inlets. I will get a pic tomorrow to show you the one i mean. I forgot to fit mine and had a hissing sound, also its actually a boost leak when not fitted.

Should be at the RR day in March

Cool mate, be good to catchup in person for sure.

RR in march? can i come :D

Erm, yes? It's an open event mate. Just stick your name down on the list.

You still need to log the B5 tip and then the sfs tip for a comparison tho

I don't NEED to do any logs mate. What I NEED to do is get the car running at it's optimum again, that's all I care about at the moment :)

Also logging comparisons have already been done, there's graph on the Awesome website and Niki at R...Tech has logged like for like comparisons.

I've spent nearly £2k in 6 weeks so the last thing I want to do is cain the fuel from my car right now tbh.

Post a pic up if you like Sam, but the new one is still going on...

I need to check the hoses under my mani again and dv to charge pipe again. Probably today at some point.

Cheers Sam. Mine looks all hooked up though :)

Na not worried at all. When I've spent as much as I have this month, I would like payday 1st before I go rinsing the v-power with 4th gear runs Brad..............

SFS tip is meant to arrive this week coming.

So turns out one of the boost hoses running from the charge pipe to the dv was underneath the bracket it was meant to rest on and also squashed/constricted LOL :ban:

Noticed this at Darren's earlier so it got re-fitted correctly and my boost is much better now, lol! Kicks in alot lower down... Going to go give the car a scan as I gave it some welly on the way home.

Its pointless if the turbo adaptor isnt fitting properly and making a complete seal. I still would love to see back to back logs of B5 V1, V2 and the SFS

Get rid of the PCV system mate ;)

You can do it at the AmD rr day in March ;) lol.

Did you make a guide mate?

Follow RDS's guide on the PCV removal, very straight forward to do. When I did my oil catch can install I used a guide from Hartys old LCR. I will grab it for you

Here'a a pic of my new stainless steel dipstick handle :)

Thanks again to Probee (Aaron) and then to D.K for helping me out today.

I wish I could be bothered to polish stuff, the dipstick looks great against the mani mate.

Easy fitting?
