Well in my case I can't say for certain that that's causing the flutter sounds yet but it's certainly leaking - only had to pressurise the charge circuit to 10psi and we could hear it leaking quite clearly!

N75 dispatched today :)

Will try get it fitted this weekend before the Bromley Pageant show. What sort of clips does it have? I can't remember from memory? Are they the crappy one's which break when take the valve off? Do want to get the valve on ASAP and go for some 4th gear + runs...

'Should be' he says ;)

I might take a look tonight. Don't want to get them off and break what's on there and not have the right fixings to put the new one on, lol.

This is what happens when you don't do anything on your own car. You don't know anything about it

Mate just make sure you have some cable ties at hand and you will be covered

Meh not everything has been done by AmD and I run it and look after it like not many others do! :)

Cable ties for the win, got a few... Gona check it out tonight.

Oh and DK did your calipers too didn't he... :p

 true!!!

Have a look, if you haven't got any clips or cable ties let me know

Looks awesome Tom. Loving the stealth look. My friend is in Time attack and sponsered by airtec and has said he will try and get me a good deal on one. After seeing yours I want one even more now lol. The old TX Autosport is doing a great job, but I have noticed it does struggle sometimes with the temps.

Cheers mate. I do love the look now :D

Let me know if you switch over to the Airtec cooler. You won't regret it. Stage 2 boost asks alot of these cars so the bigger the cooler the better IMO. The TX does great tbh but when the chance to run this one came up, I had to do it..

Spot on El!

So today I fitted the N75 valve which I ordered earlier in the week, this i the 'E' version, my old one that came off was an 'F and OMG it is unreal. Night and day difference!

Improvements:

- Flutter noise in 4th, 5th and 6th under WOT has completely gone! Car just keeps sucking in air and goes like a bullet train!
- No more boost spiking past 1.5 bar! It now holds strong in every gear at 1.5 bar. Seriously loving this fix!
- MPG seems better? I went on a test run after I fitted the valve and it would usually use another 10 miles or so of fuel on the exact same run I seem to do each time, and well, it 100% is using less...
- My exhaust seems louder! Maybe now the boost is running back as it should? Seems much louder even just blipping the throttle when I got back it is definitely louder than before.
- More responsive. Without doubt, this has reduced low down lag massively. Night and day. It's got the lower grunt now. I noticed just where I wouldn't need to change down earlier as before I would think 'ok I'll drop it into 3rd here to keep the revs up'

Overall, stupidly happy with the new N75. The car is back boosting to it's best, and it just makes me realize how bad the old N75 valve must have been. Going round my mates in half hour or so, so have another chance to test it out ;)

:D

p.s I hate the original clips that SEAT used on the 2 pipes running off the N75! The metal one below being the worst.. I replaced them with a 8-11mm jubilee clip and a cable tie! No movement after the test run so all is secure.

I also posted off my old TX Autosport FMIC today to its new home.

Result - but I think the biggest surprise in this story is that t0m actually did something to his own car himself ;)

FFS you lot make me laugh.

I fitted my 1st FMIC with help from my mate, fitted TIP's fitted N75's MAF's etc, just wouldn't know what to do with a gearbox or a diff etc. Would love to but I don't, I work in an office that deals in business energy brokerage.

I learn all the time with cars like we all do.

This is interesting as mine makes the fluttering sound under WOT yet has only done this since stage 2 and I have a new N75 "e" version on it I changed it about a year ago when it was still stage 1. The boost can sometimes be a little erratic too. This has got me thinking mine might be playing up hmmmm.

Glad you got yours sorted tho:)

Check over the connector plug on it mate, and then make sure the 2 pipes are done up tight.

Mine has completely gone now, never replaced the N75 before though.

I wouldn't be surprised if it packed up within a year tbh. Heard of MAF's going within a few months!

You and me both mate :) It's nice to learn new things, it's why I enjoy tuning the car continuously. All trial and error.

Right I think it's near enough time for those drive by videos ;)

Sure is. You learn about your car and it's nice to know what holds it together and what parts are a right PITA! For me, all the clips used in the engine bay are a b@stard! Lol. But I guess they are very secure at OEM tune which is what they are for...

Yep, those vids need to be done soon mine and your car are certainly loud enough to get some great vids :D

I'm fitting my cruise control tomorrow so will have a look over it and check it out while I'm under the bonnet
