If your car is your hobby then your partner will support you with it however, I can understand it could put pressure on a relationship if you're getting into debt because if it, you're failing to pay for other things because of it or you have no money to enjoy other things because of it.

The way I look at is this... You didn't have my money before you met me so why do you need it now. Obviously that changes when houses, kids, marriage come into it but I'm a billion miles away from any of that with merely a job for a wife right now. Work hard, play h...no that's wrong, work hard and do nothing but work :D

Yep true mate I agree, but I play hard too as my night out last night reminded me ;)

I get loads of enjoyment from my car and 99% of the time when I throw money at it, it gives me more smiles per gallon ;)

One day I'll settle down and the wifey will have to understand my car is staying in a garage and I WILL go out for the weekly road rash when it's needed! :D

It's when your wife finishes working to look after you two young children that your money is no longer your own lol. Enjoy your money while you can!!!

Well I have the mortgage and the wife but luckily she's just as much into cars as I am so I get away with spending the pennies on them (plus she's the one who drives them 80% of the time so that'll have something to do with it lol).

Lol well you've struck gold there mate. I doubt that will happen for me one day having a wife that's into turbo's more than a manicure, lol. It's good you both share that interest!

Sorry for the following pics on/around the driveway but I wanted to see how some pics come out on my new iphone so ner to those who moan about the same pics that seem to go up :p

I've really neglected the car on the outside lately, for around 8 weeks in actual fact :ban: - so it was time for a sunny winter morning clean. The mud down the side of the car from Brands hatch was so bad I didn't even take a picture, lol. The wheels were getting on for anthracite in a ds2500 dust refurb

No impulse buying has been done so no incoming mods to tell about. Just now a waiting game for my Wavetrac LSD and gearbox to get sorted in a couple of weeks.

Oh but I might order my new clutch in a few days time as I want that on at the same time as the gearbox and diff :D

Update time.

Ooops I've been at it again.... The bank account has taken another hit

Ordered my Awesome GTI Heavy duty 6 speed clutch kit. Same one that El runs with no issues despite the abuse he gives his car and I've seen it with my own eyes!!

It's a single mass flywheel and will definitely cope fine for me at stage 2. I will be getting this fitted at the same time as my Wavetrac LSD and the re-conditioned gearbox, and will also get the gear linkages all re-aligned. Should drive so much better, really can't wait for all this to get done next month or so.

I also rung Awesome GTI back up earlier as they are having a 'Black Friday' sale with big discounts on loads of tuning goodies. Decided it's time to move on from my Forge 007p and keep up with the latest DV and ordered a 008p in gunmetal/polished finish.

Oh, one more thing actually, me Darren and El all ordered the same thing earlier for all our cars, I'll post up a pic when they arrive.

Bring on the mods :D
