My new Tarox pads arrived today! I have to say that although the stopping power of the Brembo brakes are fantastic, the Brembo pads are a bit of a 'mare. They have soft metal cores running through them that do not seem to be positioned in the best of places. They're never done squeaking as a result. The metal cores are prone to picking up tiny stones/dust. The Tarox pads were 175 & VAT & delivery, making them a few quid cheaper than the Brembo pads price offered by SEAT. In reality there's little difference in price. Tarox offer aftermarket discs too, (£828 plus VAT, plus postage) which you can select various grooved & holed designs. They're more expensive than replacement Brembo discs from SEAT. I did like the look of them though. Unfortunately due to the additional cost, and Tarox not offering discount if you buy the brakes & pads together, it'll be SEAT that will get my money for new discs when the time comes. I'l live with the squealing when the time comes if they can do a pads & discs together discounted price. I'm half deaf anyway lol. It may be mix & match otherwise. There's a little life left yet in the current Brembo pads, so I'll take a little hiatus before reporting back. :)

Those Tarox discs seem ridiculously expensive! I’m sure there are other discs on the market that are as good for less. ECS do two piece semi floating discs with lightweight aluminium centres for a lot less.

The normal 340mm Cupra discs are perfectly reasonably priced £320. The PP 370mm fall under their bespoke range, so they have turned the price up. I've looked about extensively, nobody else seems to be doing them but Brembo & Tarox. Brembo are cheaper by about 100 quid when the VAT is added. Considering the retrofit kit cost me £1480 plus VAT, Discs and pads are evidently priced to clean up.

I've found Brembo front discs for £500 on eBay, far cheaper than dealer prices. https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/Genuine-Audi-Rs3-Brake-Discs-8P0615301C-pair/564510469?iid=401555245390&_trkparms=aid=222007&algo=SIM.MBE&ao=2&asc=49131&meid=37d65b0b52be4010a6c7fa99d6e291ca&pid=100623&rk=4&rkt=6&sd=152516550953&itm=401555245390&_trksid=p2047675.c100623.m-1

Although I'm not sure if they're right ones, they're Audi RS3 2011-2013. 8P0615301C is the part number. No idea where thee docket is to find out the part number for m originals.

It's 8J0 615 301 F, from a search of this forum, so different. Might just be the SEAT code for the same thing? It's etched on the discs, and I'm pretty convinced they have the Audi rings on there beside whatever the part number is.

Sorry to revive an old post but I’m struggling to get a clear answer by searching though old posts. Is the consensus that the Tarox Strada pads at £175 are the better investment to avoid disc warping issues on the 370mm Sub8 setup?

The generally consenses seems to be that any of the aftermarket pads are better than oem due to the composition and metal pins in the pads that hold the heat

I have seen good things said about the following
ebc redstuff
tarox stradas
ferodo ds2500
ferodo ds performance

Thanks a lot. It’s replacement for road use so I don’t need the absolute best there is. Might give those red stuff pads a look
