hi. first , i'm sorry for my bad english... i have a problems with my ibiza fr tdi, 2007 year, engine code BLT

egr and intake was very dirty, and i cleaned it
car was badly smoking black on idle when i push throttle, now is better... less smoke
but, think what is bothering me is , when i start the engine, It does not matter it is cold or on working temperature, engine starts normally at 840 rpm's and after few second raise up at 1000 rpm and work's like that 1-2-3 minutes, never the same... and then drop's at 840 rpm's
Diagnostics showed no errors
what is problem with that? egr works good, it closes 100%

and another problem is, i don't know how to write that, when i slowly accelerating and rpm's are 2000, leave the throttle and press it again slow, car is twitching few times and after that is normaly, and it do it every time when i driving like that (every time when i leave throttle before corners) sometime twitch harder, sometime softer

please help me with that...
what i should looking for?
engine has 90000 kilometers

coolant temperature sensor or another? fuel??
because coolant temp sensor is ok, at diagnostic it show a right temperature, engine is warm and it shows 87 degrees C
but the fuel temp sensor shows 82 degrees C and fuel cooling shows 0%

a fuel filter is new
at full throttle car goes great and now problems, only at slow riding it's twitching

Yeh sorry, the coolant one, mine isn't a PD or CR but I had the same symptoms with the revs when the coolant sensor was going bad.

I never had any problem when my fuel temp sensor wasn't working.

It might be a good idea top try the tdiclub.com for more tdi info too and also myturbodiesel.com, they're both good tdi sites.

I think part of the problem is you have such an uncommon engine so it's a bit harder to find the info, it will be around though. Just need to find the right phrase for google.

hmmm... or sensor of fuel temperature...

I will try to close the EGR valve at the vacuum hose so I'll see if there are changes

my blt does this whilst idling it opens the egr to cool it off every so often.
The lurching is the usual blt hesistation small gasket fixes this

The lower dogbone mount is usually knackered too making this feel worse

thank you very much for this!! i have put small gasket with 7mm hole and no more twitching :D very happy because of that

now only left high idle speed and a high fuel consumption i think, approximately about 9 liters per 100 kilometers of normal driving.. i think that is to much

is normal that the after start engine raises up rpm's to 1000?? other owners of that engine, does your cars act as mine with rpm's

what is your fuel consumption with that engine in only city driving?

thats around 35-40mpg which is about right if doing short trips of town driving with lots of accleration.
mine does around 55- 70 mpg on a run

today news, check engine bulb is glowing... i think i did to small hole in gasket for egr (6mm) and now i order OEM gasket ( 028 131 547 B ) with bigger hole 9mm and when that come i will see what would bulb say on that :D

Check around the inlet manifold to head for leaks, mine had a randon high/low idle issue coupled with crap fuel consumption and excess smoke. A quick check revealed i had a blown inlet manifold gasket as well as a blown exhaust manifold gasket. I also found that when using the resrictor gasket on my pd130 blt ibiza that the eml didi come on and it didnt run quite right, so removed the entire system prior to my last remap, inlet was spotless when removed to fix the gaskets mentioned above.
