Hi all, after having problems with the lower boost pipe popping off due to bad design and the metal lugs being almost non existant i decided to replace the whole lot with a fmic and sone decent pipes. It seemed the logical way to go. Now its all fitted and not throwing hoses i have noticed that i can really hear my turbo when driving, it almost sounds like a window is slightly open but it is definitely the turbo spooling, is this normal? I wondered if it was jusr resonating through the metal pipes iv got on it now, i also get a little noise as i change gear now too. Both the noises have come along since the fmic
Also there was tiny parts of metal found in the bottom end of the standard intercooler which worried me, pulled everything off to check thw turbo and it looks in pretty good condition, all nlades are there and no play in it at all. Im guessing it has been replaced after failing but they didnt clean the intercooler out. :(

You will get abit more noise with a full FMIC, like you said you've replaced all the pipework with big stainless items.
No doubt the original pipework was designed to keep noise down.

Could those metal chunks be off other metal lugs on other hose joins?
If one is bad there is usually another one on it's way out.
