Hi All,

My next mod is going to be an uprated clutch with 400+ lb ft limit on the torque as a building block for future mods.

The only one I know of is the Sachs one with a limit of 407 lb ft.

I just want to know: -

  • Where is the cheapest place to get the Sachs clutch?
  • Is it worth looking out for a second hand one?
  • Is there another uprated clutch that is cheaper than the Sachs one?

Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Ross

I went for the Sachs sintered clutch. 420lb/ft I got mine for a good price from Awesome GTi.

Wouldn't bother looking for a second hand one to be honest.

What price you get yours for?

The cheapest I can find is about £700. Would you say that is a reasonable price?

I'm going to stick with the dual mass flywheel.

I got the sachs flywheel from eurocar parts for £249. The clutch was 660ish.

not the cheapest but I wouldn't go for anything else.
