That's the 2.0 TFSI engine, not our old 1.8T's :)
Those 200cc of displacement make a huge difference.
We have Mk2 Cupra's running 350bhp in the danish Seat Club, all without going overkill on the boost.
There's no replacement for displacement ;)

You are looking in the wrong section then mate :)

This is the MK2 Leon Section with the 2.0TFSi engined cars. The 1.8T 20V car tuning will be found in the MK1 Leon Section :)

The 2.0 TFSI engines are either fitted with the k03s (FR, Sportup) or the k04 (Cupra).
I dont know which was fitted to your Skoda sadly, but it's not the old k03 (without the s), they discontinued those a few years ago.
I've seen 265hp on the 2.0 TFSI k03s with a remap only, the k04's usually end up around 300bhp, give or take 5-10hp.

It's the same as the FR,Sport the turbo on my vRS.

Then 288bhp is quite good! Maybe there's differences other than the turbo. Bigger inlets etc. like on some of the old 1.8T engines. It's a fairly new engine, dont think there's a chart on the internet with stuff like that yet.

Wasn't easy to get it though. A remapp only brought it to 236bhp. I had to add a TBE exhaust, Evoms, Autotech uprated pump and a nice forge twintercooler. The power is all there to the redline too as some say the ko3 runs out of steam, mine hasn't given evidence of that.

Ko4 can be fitted to a Ko3 car. This is our TT now running a Ko4. It is a million times better now as you would expect. In my opinion the 2871 is a waste of time just get the 3071 dont waste your money on a the 2871. With our software the 3071 spools up real fast and delivers a massive punch, It would be my turbo of choice.

Agree that K04 is good to go, but 2871 is a waste of time and money, if there is also more choices and example. 3071R. It spools as fast and gives more flow for midrange and upper rpm area too so more power...

Just asking, when the software could come for BT setups and maybe also for 3076R ? Using RS4 injectors ?

If only you told me that a year ago after i wasted my money on a 2871R

So when is your BT product coming out?

Plus what figures are you seeing with your 3071R setups?

so If I brought a 200hp TT how much would it cost me to get a ko4 fitted and running 340hp?

You'll need to swap a lot more than just the turbo to get 340bhp, 300bhp however is easy by just swapping.

well 340 if I fit upgraded fuel pump, full turbo back exhaust etc!

Exactly :)
Actually we've had 350 even without uprated pumps on the k04, but Forge FMIC, full turboback from Miltek etc.

oh ok. One thing all the tuners dont seem to be addressing is the cam wear issues. They will crop up on cars at some point right, especially those in higher tunes, so what have they got to prevent this? Uprated harder cams, that also increase performance?

No, just replace the cam lobe every so often. I beleive the newer revisions have been hardened.

Last time, when I have checked out my cam follower it was in good shape.... Like a new one... ! It could be better to check that every 5000km+ section, if your car is "heavily" tuned :)

I have heard the Ko3 on the 2.0 TFSI is more like the ko4 on the older cupra. My Octavia vRS 2.0 TFSI with the ko3 is pushing out a nice healthy 288bhp.

Yes, it is in someway as you say...;) Current K03s in 2.0 TFSI engines can yield power outputs similar to the older K04-020/023 turbos in 1.8T engines. Now the so called K04-series turbos in 2.0 TFSIs (S3/Cupra) have flow capabilities >350hp (with the appropriate peripherals and fuel pump), a figure that could be never anticipated with older K04 in 1.8T that could give max 280-290hp...;) These new K04 turbos have flow capabilities to a Garret GT28RS or IHI-VF34 ball bearing turbos... Borg-Warner have not yet released compressor maps on these recent generation "K04" turbos ...:)
