Well after seeing so many recommendations on here i thought i would join their SeatCupra.net members scheme.

1st order was fine no problems, so great i thought.

Then on 3rd October I ordered a replacement door handle and TJ took my card payment. I phoned on 5th to enquire when it was likely to be sent and was told the part was with them and they would send it as requested.

Roll on to the 15th, 10 days after i was told they had it sat there, and still nothing had arrived. I phoned to see what was happening to be told that they were a bit busy and hadn't bothered to send it to me so I asked that this be done.

Well now it is 22nd, 19days after TJ took my payment, and still nothing has turned up and i am getting rather hacked off that such a simple order cannot be fulfilled.
 
I would have said postal stikes could be also a factor but if they hadn't even sent it then that's a bit poor IMO. Fair enough if it wasn't in stock but they should not have taken payment until dispatch.
 
Ask for you money back? only problem with that is it would potentially mean you have to wait longer to get the part somewhere else. Might make them post it though.

I hadnt forgotten about the postal strike but that bears no relevance to me in this particular instance as they just havent bothered to send it. The part has literally just sat on the shelf for over 2 weeks because they couldnt be bothered to send it.

Just seen your postings I am jumping on this now to see what has gone wrong, if we are at fault you will be sent out the part and your card credited for the amount taken ie it will be foc. I will report back asap.

Right, I have got to the bottom of it and must appologise for the delay and for the level of service we have given in this instance. The only excuse we can offer is that Andrew my parts manager has only just returned from two weeks holidays and Tristan has been running the department single handed.
The part is going out in the post tonight and Trist will credit your payment so that the part will be free of charge.
I do insist that all SCN ordered parts are sent out the day they arrive in stock, this situation will not happen again.

Well I can only say thank you very much Nigel as that was a very swift and I must say generous response. You have fully restored my faith.

Now if i could find a way to amend the thread title to 'satisfied/rectified' then i would do it.
 
Just as an update - I received my refund yesterday and new door handle today.

I have to say a huge thank you to Nigel as I never expected to be refunded and receive the part as well.

fair play to them.. made a mistake but happy to apologise and admit fault.. and to offer the part free of charge says a lot to me!

Shame you hadnt ordered something stupidly expensive!! ;) :p
