Telling turbo from picture ko3 or ko4?

Can anyone tell if this is a ko3 or ko4? Not the best pics and I can't find the blue tag that's normally on the turbo. Only asking as the engine has meant to have been changed in the past, and this makes sense from the injectors as they are from an s3. Cars a mk5 gti I just know I'm going to get a better response in here

Best way to find out what turbo you have is to go on Euro car parts type in your registration then go to turbo chargers and it'll show you the price for a new one as well as giving you the code of your turbo and the name

That won't work in this case as I don't know if was changed with the engine, as the engine is an edition 30 with the correct manifold and injectors etc.

I'm not sure about the golf turbos but on the Cupras the k03 turbos have a 4 bolt connection for the downpipe and the k04 have 3. So if the same turbos are used in the golf and seat set up that my be one quick way to tell!

I'm out of ideas then mate because something isn't making sense here I understand you have a mk5 gti but with an edition 30 engine. So you basically need to do some research wether the old turbo can be put in the edition 30 am I following it right. If the turbo fits both engine types then your stuffed mate sure the edition 30 engine came with the original turbo

Ed30 comes with the ko4, I'm pretty sure they just left the original turbo as something about the DV location, on the ED30 its relocated on the front, and on the standard ko3 it's on the turbo. So they only did half a damn job and I'm stuck now on wether to finish it off

downpipe flange different on k04 to k03, outlet pipe different, and internal DV on k03, external on k04 + pipework to suit it
