Had the LCR 225 for over a month now and it's not been a good start.
The car had to go back to the garage in the first week to get it's coil packs changed. After that running like a dream for about a week. One night I gave it some real pasty driving home and the temp gauge shot up to 120, beeping three times and red light flashing. I eased right back and it went down to 90. If I ease right off and drive like a granny the gauge soon drops back to 90. However if I go up a hill or give it the slightest bit of poke and jumps straight back up to 120 and starts beeping again.
I've read all the threads on here about this and it would seem to be the waterpump/brass impellor problem or gunk on a sensor. I got a six month warranty when I bought the car so it's getting fixed on Monday, hopefully that will be the end of the problems and I can start driving the car like it's meant to be driven!
