Temperature guage temperamental

Hi all,

My temperature gauge is being a little temperamental. Basically it will sporadically lose its feed: The temperature will drop to zero, then it will start to rise again, perhaps then lose it again and drop down, then work its way up again....

It comes and goes. What sorts of things is this likely to be?

Its the CTS mate... mine did the same... ten min job to swap out...

If it is what Mr OCD said then that is technically right

CTS sends two signal one to the ECU the other to the dash, i e your gauge

whats the CTS as that means nothing to me and where abouts is it on the engine ??cheers matey

Coolant Temperature Sensor and it is under the lower of the engine covers to the right of the engine.

Aye dead easy to change and solved my problem
