Old thread revival, I had this exact same problem last night. I have ordered a new PCV but will not receive it till mid week . Following the dirty dervs advise
" what i done for a couple of days was dissconect the pipe that runs from the pcv to the inlet at the inlet end and blocked the port on the manifold off with a small piece of tube and a bung and let the pcv vent to atmosphere. it worked fine for me untill the pcv arrived. but ultimately its upto you mate"
As I need the car for work I have blanked the inlet hose and attached a small breather filter to the pcv to vent to atmosphere. Will this have any long term negative affects on the car just for the 100 miles or so to work and back.
