you cant chase much around mk, too many roundabouts!!!

and i agree, infiri looks great when its clean.
you can chase cars round here - You straight line the larger roundabouts the best you can :cartman:

The ones on standing Way (H8), Monks Way (H3) and Marlbrough Street (V8) are all excellent choices

Infiri Black is a very nice colour when clean btw, but thats it's biggest downfall! It NEVER stays clean for more than 5 minutes and takes 3-4 hours to properly clay/wax and gloss! How I miss my yellow Beezer Cupra in that respect!

H3 is my run to work and V10 is my playtime run home. Get your line right and you can fly here, get your line wrong and you can fly too - it just ensures comittment :)

I agree with Dans comments about the power curves with the turbo running at max - the car would be a better daily driver with it not being so highly strung, and possibly quicker.

I agree, people get hung up far too much on headline figures when its the overall power curve and delivery of that power that really counts.

It's easy to make a huge mountainous power curve that gives you 340hp but it'll only be 340hp for about 500rpm then drop off rapidly.

Mine currently delivers around 305hp, but it does it solidly from 4500rpm to the limiter more or less. Nice flat power right across the rev range.

Nice car and wicked list of mods already. :)
When you get the HPFP are you keeping the same map? As i believe it Revo haven't released a code/map for HPFP. Its kinda confusing me:confused: Should run better (peak Hp lower down the revs) with HPFP and same map or are there no gains to be had
I have stage 1 but would like a little more kick mid range. :)

Basically, the HPFP lifts the fuel delivery in the mid-range, The lower end and upper end of the rev range are largely unaffected.

But for example my car produces around an extra 40-50hp right across it's midrange than it did without the HPFP. As we know mid-range is where you spend most of your time anyway.

ZBOYD, is your car running Revo code though? As Carr20vt mentions, Revo dont have any re-map for Cupra's that can take into account a better fuel pump, so I would not see any benifit right?

Revo do have a map for the 200PS 2.0 TFSI engine with full K04S turbo upgrade and HPFP, and that will kick out more power than a Cupra, but for some reason, Revo say that the map wont work right on the 240PS engine that gets the K04S turbo as standard and the HPFP mod added to it.

Anyone know why, as I'm struggling to see what the difference between a converted 200PS engine and the stock 240PS engine is afterwards.

My car was used by Revo to develop the stage 2 code, and I've been trying to get a straight answer regarding 2+ for months now, now don't get me wrong here, I think that stage 2 is marvellous, but I was promised that if I fitted the HPFP, they'd use my car to develop 2+, but all I'm getting from Revo are evasive answers, 1st, oh we're busy developing the new 1.8 tsi code, fair enough, then the guy responsible was on holiday/in the states, ok, after many phone calls, I pm'd Kev, here's his reply:

"You haven't got an efficient intercooler on it though, the car was heatsoaking as it was... tuning on it isn't going to work as a stage2+ file will run the same as you have but more in the midrange meaning more heat. It would be fine to run on your car but tuning on it the car would suffer too much from heatsoak. To do a full Stage2+ file we need to use a car that has 'everything' on it so that the maximum potential can be attained. Then cars that aren't running all the components can run lower settings.
Thus why we need a car with an IC on as well."

The fact that my car was heatsoaking was never mentioned to me, either on the phone or when talking to Kev at the Inters, I can't afford a twintercooler, or an S3 i/c, so I'm left a little bit disappointed by all of this, if this had been mentioned at the Inters, then I might have been able to raise some extra funds, but now, hmmm....
He also told me that they've got a misfire on stage 1 08 Cupras, but not 07 Cupras, weird...
